    Shinobi Playstyle?

I've seen so many guides. I get the combos. I don't NEED the combos. I need to know about when to use what and how to play. I can't seem to do well whether it's defensive or aggressive. Please dear god, and why does it seem like the Orochi and the Kensei's lights are so impossible to dodge? Can someone explain if there's a special way to dodge their lights?

Edit: I meant block/parry the Kensei and Orochi's lights.

Safest way to play shinobi is around his backflip. You can backflip after almost anything you do.

As for dealing with kensei/orochi light attacks, that kinda just takes time for you to get used to... If you cant even block them, I would advise staying away from parrying them until you can block them reliably.

Try going again against a level 2-3 Kensei/Orochi bot in training for a bit and get used to their attack patterns.... If you can stop Orochi's first light attack, then he cant chain into his 400ms lights.

Kensei, I dont recommend trying to parry AT ALL unless you're VERY GOOD at reading... Hes a feint-master

Telling him to use backflip often is actually bad advice, many MANY attacks will track you regardless of if you backflip. If a shinobi tries to kick a conqueror, who dodges and uses shield bash, and the shinobi backflips, the conq's followup lights straight magnetize toward you as if he were on ice skates. The backflip needs a rework, from a hyperarmored attack magnet into an actual dodge move without hyperarmor. It should be similar to nobushi hidden stance where the startup has dodge frames, but maybe a bit longer than nobushi since shinobi doesn't have quick damage options out of it. Yes you can do a ranged heavy or guardbreak after backflip, but these often come out after your opponents guard has come back up.

Orochi lights are in a weird spot against reflex guard heroes christian, your ability to react and punish them relies heavily on your opponents ping. Lights from a 70ms Orochi are MUCH harder to deal with than from an orochi with 30ms ping. Shinobi is a hero you can't actually learn to use from guides, your best bet is to watch clips of someone in real combat or better yet gain the experience yourself.

Well if they attack you while you are doing your backflip you get a free sickle rain combo

Play like every other Shinobi coward does. Keep avoiding fight 1v1, if you start loosing then just run away and then come back with couple of your friends. Use range attack when your opponent is already fighting 2 other guys, because you know, you deserve to finish him of. Ledge people in most ridiculous way from most ridiculous distance. When your team is killed and you are only one left, please continue to run around the map like headless chicken, because God forbid that you actually stand your ground and die like a man. It would ruin your precious K/D.

And most importantly, keep killing your opponents in most cowardly and disgusting way but whenever you die in a fair fight, keep spaming Wow, wow, wow.

I hope my guide helps you to become ultimate Shinobi, on of the few cancers of this game.

Hahaha, I see this so often. I keep meaning to record some of my games and put them on youtube with the Benny Hill music. It would fit perfectly.
