Oh, they know, believe me they know but contrary to popular belief... asking for it nicely or begging does not work most of the time just like not being politically correct helps either but at least you got it out of your system. sometimes they use the feedback to wipe their butt with and sometimes they just toss it under the rug but, most times, they throw you a bone... even if the bone is already dried up or a year later.

I was OK with the plane controls on PC using KB/M, but the ones in Far Cry 5 took some getting used to. I managed to beat all the Clutch Nixon events, but the first plane one I did was Spray and Pray at dusk, and I lost count how many tries it took to beat it the first time. Now that I know how to tweak settings and where I can afford to miss a checkpoint, it never takes more than 3-6 tries or so.
On Far Cry 5 I weirdly I managed to complete that mission for the flying companion first time. It took some getting used to and figuring it out but I was ok. GRW I literally can't steer and move up and down. Both are not ideal though, suprised they made it into game as is.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
I never liked the controls in GRW and obviously not a lot of other people did either or the developers wouldn't have created and alternative option in a later update. Personally, I think the alternative was an improvement in some ways but several big steps back in others like the physics. To this day I still have a feeling they used the existing drone controls/flight characteristics as a template for this.
As for FC5 flight characteristics, physics and controls, they make GRW look like a flight simulator.
That's a fair assessment.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original postAlso I've started GRW after multiple patches.
Cool deal. I think you'll enjoy it Mike.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
Yeah only reason I brought it up is I find it kinda baffling why after all the complaints about plane controls on GRW, they would come up with something even worse in FC5. It's almost like a be careful what you wish for situation for when asking for such improvements.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
I believe GRW was produced by Paris. While Montreal did FC5. Two separate teams and using different game engines. So at a minimum, I'd say apparently no sharing and perhaps limits to what can be done given the game engine for both.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
Indeed I am. Getting used to third-person once again (the Mass Effect series being my last) as well as the quirks in the game. Can't believe unable to pickup laid explosives. Love that operating after dark makes a difference. Lots of enjoyment -- as I'm playing at my own pace -- unlike that "other" game ...Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
