So I haven't played GRW in well over 6 months. Decided I missed it and wanted to pick it up again. After all the updates I start and boom Sam FIsher mission is assigned to me as I'm trying to remember the keyboard layout.
I've tried, getting in is easy for me, now just painfully tedious. Then I get to Sam and even on Arcade level I'm eventually getting killed by Unidad. So I went to do another mission, found the trick to select and unselect the SF mission but now it's permanent night. Every damn time I respawn it's 2100 and Fisher starts talking.
This is ruining the game for me. I'd like Sam Fisher dead, never to return.
Been discussed in a previous thread. My opinion is that this mission is an end game mission and needs to be seperate. But if you check the previous thread there were some suggestions on how to avoid it.
Here it is: https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...Fisher-mission
It's worth persevering and working it out as the Ghost War new game mode "Sabotage" works that way.
You really only want to hold that second floor with Sam until he completes the hack. The mission is a combination of patience game and point defense. -- So spread out mines around that second floor balcony to help thin out their assault and seriously cut down their numbers.
Your opener, for the second phase should be to have your Ghosts take out the three snipers. Else your team will never make it to your position; open with a sync-shot, activated the moment Sam finishes briefing you.
If you have Rebel Ops/Support & Diversion, use them to change the engagement phase from a fight for survival to an offensive.
Keep your eyes on the choppers. Exfil right side (facing the front) when the choppers are over the left side.
Only the infil phase is SC style infil. The engagement phase and exfil phase are pretty much normal gameplay, minus the max level UNIDAD alert.
What also added insult to injury is NONE of the Splinter Cell missions were as obnoxious as Operation Watchman as far as respawning enemies and unlimited helicopters go. Out of the entire franchise, there was only ONE scripted combat sequence with a helicopter in Conviction, and that was not a boss fight. It was just a little annoyance that pestered you until you reached the endgame.Originally Posted by fordag Go to original post
