You just won $1000000 "but i want $2000000 it's just not good enough" people will always find something to moan about. fix one thing then moan about something else, it goes on and on and on. as mappers we are better off than we were a week ago. would you like to rewind and stay there? just wait and ubi will tweak stuff in the months ahead. kicking off will do nothing.Originally Posted by player3069 Go to original post
I don't want to get involved in your arguments but looking on PC and PS4 the last two days I have seen a mixture of lobbies at different times of the day by different people, I have not yet had a blank page with nobody hosting so that is a good thing.
Earlier I saw 8 available, 4 were locked with just two players, one was full and another had 11 players in.
Maybe later on they could look at adding in Host Migration, they have it for private lobbies so I see no reason why it couldn't be done, surely it is a matter of whoever takes over the lobby also taking over the name created for that lobby and maybe it been passed over to the next person who had been in the room the longest.
Also yes it is better than what we had pre patch, I have joined a few rooms and got to play some maps I had wanted to play so lots happier.
I see Arcade as work in Progress it is receiving updates every month and in my opinion is in a far better position now than at launch, sure there are still things to fix and things we would all like but it is definitely moving in the right direction.
I have not hosted yet due to 12 hour shifts but have 4 off after tonight so plan on hosting and joining rooms whenever I get some free time.
Something else that gamers are not aware of..... when You first join the Lobby Browser it only shows the first 5 or 6 lobbies. You have to refresh multiple times for the full Lobby Browser to show all the lobbies available. You can also back out and back in to reveal this. They are not newly created lobbies showing up either . They are the same Lobbies...... Just try it Champ, and you will see what I am talking about .Originally Posted by Fallen-Champ Go to original post
How can you be fair to other Host when their Lobbies are not showing up.
We do not need Host Migration. When the Original Host/The Creator leaves the room the lobby should shut down , and allow players to Migrate/Repopulate other Lobbies. The Quick Join option that was also in FC2 will also Guarantee A Healthy Player Migration. Allowing full rooms for lots of host, and mappers . Not just the SPOILED ONES
We need Player Migration , and not Host Migration.
I must have been wrong then I thought it showed more then 6 but maybe not.Originally Posted by player3069 Go to original post
One thing that was odd is several rooms showed then I came out and went back in and those rooms didn't show - I figured they had all shut down at the same time but now after reading what you wrote that seems very bizarre (Why can't the list just show all lobbies and if there are lots allow you to scroll down through them all)
I mostly look for known names so if I see a name of a person I know hosting I would join, hoping they can tweak this if it is only 6 maximum.
Unsure I fully agree with that, think of it this way.Originally Posted by player3069 Go to original post
You are in a lobby for 3 hours and the players are playing well together, the host leaves - surely it would be better to stay in that room with people you are playing with and allow one to become the host rather than split the room up and players populate other rooms I know I would prefer that.
However if someone else does become the host if they don't select good maps after so long people would leave anyway - a bad host will lose players where a good host should keep them in the room while they are wanting to play.
One thing I would also like is a way to switch teams but we don't have that (unless I missed something)
I think if a group of 6 invite another group of 6 to a room via password then those teams keep their players but any other method I think the players move around with different maps they could be on different teams - Not a massive fan of that but it's better than nothing.
Just need to have people quit playing arcade heroes and suggest a map and start populating the hosted lobbies. Cause the community is very small. Then when its divided into 3 its very small. Sunday screenshot. 15 lobbies. 10 are private. So leave us with 5 public or start my own lobby and sit alone twiddling my thumbs for 30 minutes with no one joining. Game is dead on XBOX1.
Game needs to be 75% off to be $15 to repopulate the game. Community is so small your gonna start seeing the same couple gamer tags in lobbies. See UBISOFT this what happens then you don't listen and take notes for a decade. Also adding up all the players in 15 lobbies is 55. 55. Heck that doesn't even fill a Battlefield lobby. That's barely little over half of a PUBG lobby. This game is at the end. That's pretty quick. Not a world record since UBISOFT already had a record for GRAW Future Soldier die on XBOX 360 like in 3 weeks.
Arcade Hero was designed to have people play maps that haven't been rated/played much at the moment they're uploaded. Removing Arcade Hero and only resorting to lobbies will likely populate the lobbies with only a handful of "known" maps, leaving new map makers hanging as their maps won't get noticed/played.
So, people who want their maps to be noticed will have to host games, or persuade hosting players to queue their maps.
The open lobby needs a couple of things to make it better.
- people need to be able to invite people who they have met online playing fc5 to their game. Really helps filling up your lobby.
- a quick join button, including all lobby’s
- showing all open lobby’s. Not one or two, once took me more then 20 times to refresh to see one of my friends was hosting.
- able to vote to end match poll. So people can give their opinion if they want to continue or not.
- fix the forced back to the game from the menu glitch.
What is really cool about this lobby browser is that anyone who makes a new map can publish it and host it to play it.
You could not do that before. There just needs to be all the few players left to be in the same place instead of spread thinly all over the place.
When you go into Arcade and choose to play a multiplayer mode instead of solo/coop there should just be the options that we have now, browse host list, host an open lobby, host a private lobby where you can only join if the host gives you the password and a QUICK JOIN where you are directed to the smallest lobby e.g. one host waiting for anyone to join.
They can keep arcade heroes to get new maps viewed and tested for early ratings. But suggest a map should go. This wouldn't have had to happen if UBISOFT listen a decade ago. So many wrongs don't make a right. The random pick three was the stupidest idea to ever land on a video game. That alone pretty much killed the multiplayer months ago. The big crowd that buys this for campaign already conquered that and moved on cause multiplayer was a joke when first released.
6vs6 was a no go when I first heard the news. But I compromised when I seen the map editor. But no new game modes and lack of respawning vehicles. Also 6vs6 is lame. Pretty much kills all large maps. Community is to small now to even bother putting effort into making any new maps. I feel sorry for those clinging onto hopes of FAR CRY 6 being perfect from the get go.
Seems all UBISOFT games need new game engines since they seem to regress in player counts.
