    How can I do that using "shared pawns"? Those shared spawns will trigger some of the players to initially spawn immediately on the field, instead of in the base where I want them to spawn.

    Sorry- in my opinion, it's just not good a enough level of control for player spawning .

    I don't really understand what you mean.
    The first time a player spawns in a match, they will spawn on the Team Spawns (Red spawnpoints for Team 1, Blue spawnpoints for Team 2), so if you place them in the base, they will spawn in the base.
    After that, they will respawn on either their corresponding Team Spawns or on the Shared Spawns (if any are available); so, if you have Shared Spawns "on the field", then they will most likely spawn on the field.

    I just explained that that was a bug, and it should be fixed.

    And, as Fallen-Champ said, you don't really have to use shared spawns. For a greater level of control, you can just use Team Spawns. However, you will not be able to control the initial spawn this way. Also, there is a greater chance of spawn camping, because people will learn where the spawns are; although, that shouldn't be that much of a problem, now that there is spawn protection.

    Gave this game a long break shortly after release after realizing my small multiplayer map could not easily be played 1v1 or 2v2 with friends.


    Read through everything here and am honestly still not sure...

    So at the expense of looking stupid - if I install FC5 again can I 100% finally just invite a friend to my little 1v1 map and easily play with him or a few others?

    I don’t think that’s a bad question, you can create your own lobby adding a password to join so it’s locked from random people joining. It’s under Arcade host private multiplayer lobby, invite your friends and select your map.
