Stop. You're not even on topic anymore. You are beginning to slander the devs with your wild accusations because for some unknown reason you don't want to believe what Justin Farren said - probably because it fits your own narrative.Originally Posted by DeeK_KayE Go to original post
How can you possibly know what the dev team have tried and what they didn't? You have no freaking clue what they did so far. They have a clear vision of what they want the game to be. Period. If that's not your cup of tea, then get outta here, and go play a game that fits more of what you want to play. But stop spreading negativity and false information in this place of people who actually like the game the way it's going to be and like to be genuinely involved with constructive feedback. You are becoming a basic troll and nothing else.
On topic: It's already been stated multiple times (because you bring it up in basically every thread you post in) that melee combat is not going to be core gameplay of SnB.
and how do you know that the devs tried it? you know, melee combat doesnt have to be "core" gameplay of skull and bones but it SHOULD be in the game...its not a pirate game otherwise...just some boring naval action game...they dont understand the potential manOriginally Posted by Y2A_Alkis Go to original post
I'm not going to call the game a flop. It could still be fun, but just in a different way than I had hoped... I'm with you on every other point. I was just hoping for a massive open world pirate game along the lines of GTA, or RDR(yes I know those had different developers), but the pirate genre would be so much fun to have a game like that. So much more you could do than just sailing a boat around the whole time.Originally Posted by DeeK_KayE Go to original post
yeah exactly!Originally Posted by drunktyrone Go to original post
1. I never claimed to know what the devs tried - you did by calling them "lazy", "greedy", and "they're not even trying".Originally Posted by DeeK_KayE Go to original post
2. "it's not a pirate game otherwise [without melee combat]" - Dead wrong. We provided proof that historical piracy had nothing to do with melee combat, yet you choose to ignore facts. "Piracy in modern popular culture" is what you want. But that's not what SnB is going to be.
3. Potential of what? Catering to a vocal minority who doesn't even like the game for what it is and wants something completely different? The devs have a clear vision of what they want SnB to be. And there will be engaged fans no matter what.
So please stop spreading false information. It's clear that SnB won't be a game for you, so please quit the trolling.
so you are telling me that pirates back then didnt have any sword and gun fights at all? haha hell no...thats wrong! its not even the minority, its actually the majority but if you dont believe it then fine, whatever..so like I said, they should just try it firstOriginally Posted by Y2A_Alkis Go to original post

Yup, that's a troll. I won't try to have a real conversation with you anymore. Enjoy being blocked. Have a good day and I hope you find a game you'll actually like.
I'm not a troll and I'm dead serious about this! and I dont spread false information, I spread the right information but you dont know about it since you are only active in the ubisoft forums...ever taken a look at the skull and bones videos on youtube and skull and bones threads on steam? I dont think so...I dont even need to prove it when you can just take a look at it yourself...and yes, pirates DID have melee combat back then so stop making excuses...thanksOriginally Posted by Y2A_Alkis Go to original post
Pirates also done a lot of different things, horrible ones, think they should be in too? I don't want to name them but I think you'll know what. And also, you keep saying that it'll be a good thing, why in the world - in a naval game; would sword fighting be good?
