The background scenery needs to reflect player progress

One of the biggest problems with the Division was the fact we spent days, weeks, months, and eventually years trying to make progress in NY city and nothing changed.

Dead bodies hanging in the same places for years.

Vehicles broken down on the road.

The same misery and desolation no matter what we did.

I didn't stop playing the Division just because the game play was frustrating, I quit playing because the longer you spend in the game the more depressing everything feels.

I truly hope that Division 2 shows the progress players make in the background scenery. I realize this requires additional work from the graphics team, but it's work that must happen if the game is to feel fresh and interesting.

Each expansion in the Division should have shown change. Bodies removed, cars towed away, and people starting to walk around. There would be periodic incursions by the gangs and criminals, but for the most part the streets should be clear with the enemies hold up in their strongholds where the agents continue the fight.Granted it would have been nice to see the rest of NYC recovered, but we're too late for that.

Anyway, Division 2 needs to reflect player progress, otherwise there's no real immersion.

I only spent 2 months (1500 hours). But yeah, those hanging dudes should’ve been picked clean by the crows already.......

I would love this but it always comes down to this: What do you prefer? Effort to be spent on actual content or furniture?

Also, if the cars are gone for one and not the other player we'd be shooting at a guy hidden behind nothing and yet not taking any damage. It might be an idea for the devs to change the scenary once every year to move things etc.

Think that may work in the lightzone but the darkzone is meant to be abandoned so the bodies remain. It would be nice to have a bit more interaction with the enviroment, be able to shoot things down, move cars as a group for better cover etc. Dont think we'll see that

Trying to think where I have seen that in a game apart from settlement build in Fallout. I think (the furniture) is a fixed asset in game always respawn same. I would rather they get the balance right in D2 it doesn't have to be more pretty.

Just a reminder, but The Division is like the movie Groundhog Day. From the start of the campaign to end game is 2 weeks max, and when you are at end game, time basicly stops all together.
