Controversial Opinion- Kill public view of stats and rank and 90% of cheating is gone

It's no secret to anyone in the community that cheating/exploiting as of late has become a serious plague that is DESTROYING the community one match at a time.

There is mainly only one reason this is happening people are cheating for that 9.0 KDR and Diamond next to their name and it's obviously a problem.

While statistics in and of themselves are not foolproof they are a great indicator of a serious disparity between legit godlike players and script kiddies / exploiters.
Classic example - I've edited these to keep the mods from screaming at me

    or

Take a look statistically at the best 100 players in the world.....One thing will mostly stand out is that they are consistent gameplay wise and there is no huge change stats wise.

Once you spend enough time looking especially in the SEA region you start seeing a huge disparity in between casual and ranked performance so either these folks are cheating or they are getting boosted by a cheating squad member which either being the case is a violation of the TOS.

Remove stats from in game and dispose of the ranking icon and cheating with the exception of rage hackers will go down 90% overnight.

I don't think it's going to make that much difference, people cheat for numerous reasons. yes bragging rights are part of that but I doubt removing display of ranked stats is going to have a positive effect. especially when it comes to recruitment into competitive teams (stats like those will stand out to a good recruiter / team captain)

Those stats can be viewed from the Ubi site or R6DB or others so it wouldn't have an effect on that at all
