As for parries, they only guarantee a top light. A heavy is guaranteed some times, but there are heroes that just recover too fast for it to work. In that sense though again faster heroes can get more from a parry. Cent for example can get you in the jab, drop, bye bye 60hp. Zone attack has lately, at least for me been buggy, ill hit both clicks at the same time, or R then L, but she sometimes does the zone, sometimes just the light. I havent had this issue with other zone capable heroes. And again her zone is a bit lack luster, compared to the raiders, since his in unblockable
In gruop fights shes ok, but kensei with his top heavies, highlander with his unblockables all the time, shugoki with his grab, conq with shield bash, cent with uppercut and drop and every here that can stun, are imho much better in a group fight. Also ina 4v4 time to kill plays a big role and she can take a lot of time too.
What she indeed does good is revive, quick revive+revive gear will make it lightning fast, however if youre playing with random, gl communicating to them to wait for the rev. Ive had people resp with the rev meter more than half full.
After all this, i think 2 things would really fix her, and thats something ive seen asked for here here and on reddit:
Faster light attacks
and either a dodge attack or tweaking of HS, currently with stamina loss *about 30% each HS) and the fact that most people quickly learn to dash back when she does it, its much more viable to do a parry than use HS for that, and HS becomes only good to avoid unblockable kicks and maybe open a complete turtle
Because the bleed is like normal damage, but it's not instant, so it's actually worse (though the nobushi gets damage buff against bleeding opponents, so it actually makes it a bit useful). And her kick is very easy to react. You will not think it's fast when you face a shaman or a conqueror, those two are literally unreactable.
Man i love when people reply without reading whats already been written! Great way to contribute to a thread!Originally Posted by DaFakeSquidward Go to original post
Her kick isnt fast, its 600ms, making it slower than a lot of other kicks plus, it is ALWAYS interrupted by other heroes kicks, so a warden can shoulderbash right into it and the nobu will get kicked. Also it gets interrupted by heavy attacks, also any decent side step hero dodges it, so all assassins, kensei etc..
Bleed is worse than direct damage. Why? Because debuff resistance lowers it, significantly. Its way to easy to stack up 20% debuff res and thats -5 damage off her bleed, also if you heal up with a feat it stops, also also her bleed hits dont allow her to go into a kick, so she can chose bleed or kick, also also also her light attacks are slow and her heavy attacks one of the slowest in the game, so bleed or wallsplat is pretty much the only dmg she can do
I play on pc and orochi lights are easy to parry, anyway valk lights are faster, without talking about kensei top light wich is even more fast ,other chars are the problem, cent have free heavy on heavy parryes, Glad zone, zerk zone and hyper armor on basically any attack, conq have to be directly delete from the game, and kensei side dodges.
Shin need a llh chain cause right now is super predictable, shugoki need an huge buff, same for raider and lawbro
sorry for my english
I use to be ungankable and now I can't even tell who's doing what with the amount fake outs (faint attacks) It's not even a fighting game anymore it's a violent guessing game. Can we please get ride of these terrible fake out mechanics and just give me some basic combos like the freaking BETA!!! or at the least make an arcade mode with no bombs, no ledges, no traps, just a regular fight. and please increase the stamina penalty for fake outs. People are spamming it and its annoying.
Feints are among the most basic mechanics in the game, some people even equal it to skill how good your mixup game is (maybe that and the countergame is the most basic things to tell a player's skill). I don't know what the game would be if every attacks would be committed, people fear to throw out attacks even now.
