Having a lot of fun with this game (apart from the Gold Edition shambles) and the cars look fantastic. Love the handling and addition of boats and planes. However, I can't help but feel incredibly disappointed at the omission of activities from the first game such as landmarks and keeping a tally of how much of the map you have explored. I absolutely loved the first game and I just feel like some of the decisions made by the developers are baffling.
It is a fun sequel and I will spend a great deal of time on it, but I hope they add more interesting races (and longer races) more reasons to explore and just more to do in general.
Exactly...this game is not a crew game anymore...there is less stuff than the first. Its look like they want to make this game more fun for casual gamer but the original fan of The crew 1 will not play this game very long...there is nothing to do...no club/faction, car parts are all maxed for every car after 4 hours, no exploration point, no wrecking car hidden...instead we have loot box but who care when you already have the best parts? No PVP, only a few race for cars... Plus you cant win money by just driving around like in the first.
The game will be dead pretty soon I think...after 20 hours this is boring. I was expecting more...
If you haven't played the first game then I agree the content is OK for an arcade racer. It's a step down from The Crew though, even if other aspects are much improved.Originally Posted by GMAK2442 Go to original post
There's a lot of negativity. The Crew 2 is better overall from the first. Its more fun and less grinding which is something the Devs listen to the community. There is quite of more things to do than The Crew 1 due to the variety of vehicles. Planes, boats, getting followers, doing tricks to get followers in different vehicle, and gaining loot. I get the idea about not having landmarks to get cash. That does give reason to actually travel somewhere but I thought PvE players just like to drive on their own no matter what? The game just started and it has quite of few things in the beginning. The only complaint I have against the game is the PvP. That I do miss but on the PvE side playing with friends is a blast and more fun when racing. The game does have potential and Ubisoft tends to follow GTA formula so if it gets as much activities as that it would be golden. Let's give it a chance to grow.
You can even make missions yourself. Such as help a rookie level up and teach them things about the game. I like seeing players grow and thats what I been doing on my stream by inviting players and helping them level up.
Yes, the game has little content. In fact, you can go through it 3-4 days after which it just gets bored. Even if you play with friends to stretch the game for another week, maybe two. But do not forget that this is a multiplayer game. However, such functions in this game are simply not developed! There is no customization of houses, you can not go on a visit to other players, and even to get together with other players at headquarters is impossible! What's the point of dressing up your avatar if no one sees it? The same applies to the customization of the car, unnecessarily in the free mode, you just can not see anyone and no one pays attention to it! It is necessary to develop the social component: Add summits where players can all walk together with their avatars, brag about cars and just communicate, make new acquaintances. And that's when the developers make these social functions the game will play with new colors. And now, without any changes or development, the game quickly gets bored.
I respect your opinion and honestly I think your ideas are great. However, keep in mind at the end of the day this is a racer, and not a sandbox action adventure game. They really don't have to have a player step foot out of a vehicle or go house to house with other players. Knowing Ubisoft this may be most they can do with avatars. You're spot on with your ideas. I can't say this can't be done since they do have ton of pedestrians walking around cities. Seeing other players avatars would be nice. Let' s just hope when PvP comes around they would do like other racer games do such as GTA and Onrush where you can see a players character standing in the beginning or ending match. At least put them either in they car or in front of the car. Ubisoft never go out this much in a game but still I feel even this being done is more content than the first gameOriginally Posted by Nastvik Go to original post
There’s definitely a lot more that should be in this . Lots more road challenges that fleshed the game out loads . Reasons for visiting certain parts of the map like the points of interest in the first game . A tracking system like the Forza Horizon games that had roads driven . It’s still a great game but it needs them few extra things
Compared to TC1 this game is a joke.
- NO reason to explore the map
- NO reason to do test for parts cause the drop rate os so low - not worth it
- NO reason to build up cars after you´ve don all races
- NO reason to "just drive around" since there are no more "Awards" like in TC1 (for licence plates etc.)
For me TC2 is just a very expensive "Wild Run" without Festivals and PvP.
In Betas they told us there will be more in release... ha... lies. Nothing changed.
This is ridiculus.
