I'm thinking about buying GRW, however i have some questions in regarding some annoying things on the game.
Did they remove the hit marker and hit sound? If not, are there any plans to do it ?
And can someone post me screenshots/or video of the HUD options the game allows? There's nothing on youtube that i can found and neither around the web.
It will be awesome
Thank you very much.
The hit sounds are still there regardless of the settings you choose. ......unfortunately. Plenty of folks (especially the more hardcore players among us) mentioned it for months. Never changed and likely never will at this point.Originally Posted by SelinaTheGhost Go to original post
As for the HUD, they did offer more extensive control of certain elements that you could turn off/on like contextual actions, crosshair, objective markers, item markers, enemy markers, minimap, ammo/item/weapon info, etc. which are all individually selectable. You can even play completely HUD-free if you wish.
Of course it depends on what you value in a gaming experience, but I think GRW was well worth the full price a year ago and certainly worth the discounted price today.
Here are the HUD options available as of right now:

Okay, I must mention this again and again regarding the HUD that something HAS NOT been functioning very well and I've reported this multiple times until I give up.
- Custom HUD settings will not save. That means when you use other HUD preset settings, it will be overwritten instead of retaining your settings. This has been broken since Closed Beta and only one Title Update corrected it before it breaks again in the next one.
- Name in all ADS option will be ignored when Enemy & Rebel settings is on. Before the HUD Update, it worked correctly.
- And unlike set in previous version, Enemy & Rebel is the HUD option for overhead marker and minimap NPC dot. Previously they were under separate options.
Don't really know what else to add to your question that hasn't already been covered. Except to say that it's improved a lot since release. Didn't participate in the Beta myself. Day of it's release I was on board.
Various issues people bring up, don't make it a bad game. If anything it shows just how much people love it and want to help it become more. I've spent way too much money on this game and having a blast with it! Love the Steelbook, shame it's just called standard edition. Woulda bought the CE if it had the Steelbook.

Now as a response to everybody else:
Im disappointed with the fact that there is no way to disable the hit sound, why is it there? No other ghost recon game has it
There are still some updates to come, so maybe in the upcoming months, we would be able to disable it?![]()
I didn't find the need for a compass though.Originally Posted by TheSgtUltra Go to original post
I play without the mini map and if you take a look at your map and see the path you have to follow, it is way better than the compass.
But as an optional thing i wouldn't mind.
....so do I. .....or a compass that would pop up with a command button.Originally Posted by TheSgtUltra Go to original post
I would likely stop using the minimap for orientation if they did.
