[PC]Game repeatedly failing to download the update on Uplay | Forums

Hi,

ever since today's early morning around 0500 BST, Uplay has been unable to download the most recent patch.



I have already:

• restarted Uplay, both in administrator mode as well as normally,
• terminated my internet connection and restarted it,
• checked that I do, indeed, have enough space,
• checked that the install directory is correct,
• reinstalled Uplay,
• deleted \For Honor\uplay_download\,
• deleted all game files last updated today.

After the latter two steps, the update will always re-commence, but invariably fail around the 600 MB mark.

I am loath to reinstall the whole game due to its size and because I have no guarantee I can actually download it all.

This is on Windows 10.

I found the post after I submitted the thread. Unfortunately, none of those steps worked.

Eventually I resorted to re-download the client, which solved the issue. What might I do if this happens again next update?

Just to confirm, you had to re-download the whole game?
