I did a bit of the maths already Stainless this is how it breaks down:
    Starlink Starter Set - £69.99
Mason Rana, Zenith Starship, Shredder Weapon, Frost Barrage Weapon, Flamethrower Weapon
    Judge, Neptune, Levitator Weapon, £24.99
Calisto Chase Da Silva, Pulse, Volcano Weapon £24.99
Hunter Hakka, Lance, Imploder Weapon £24.99
    Shaid, Nadir, Nullifier Weapon £24.99

Weapons Pack- Crusher and Shredder £9.99
Weapons Pack- Hailstorm and Meteor £9.99
Weapons Pack- Shockwave and Gauss £9.99
Weapons Pack- Iron Fist and Freeze Ray £9.99

    Pilot Pack - Kharl £6.99
    Pilot Pack - Eli £6.99
    Pilot Pack - Razor £6.99
    Pilot Pack - Levi £6.99

    £69.99
    £99.96
    £39.96
    £27.96

    £237.87 Total

However with the named four new pilots, can assume that they have thier own ships and specialist
weapons so can drop their price and add four ships with the list
    £99.96
So if that theory is true its:
    £309.87

I mean it's not too bad, I don't think the intention is that players would buy everything upfront, as long as they don't release any new pilots or whatever maybe for a while you could see it being a gradual investment as you add on to your collection.

All the items priced are currently slated for the October 16th Release The only thing thats not is if they bring out additional ships for the additional pilots etc. Don't get me wrong I am pretty excited by this game but part of the problem at the moment is not knowing how the ships differ stat wise, what the pilots bring to the table and of course what the weapons do and what they're most effective against.

And finally how it all will tie together so that you can mix and match according to your preferred playstyle. The other thing though is also what worries me, if you buy digital versions of the ships/weapons/pilots etc, how much you're getting charged vs how you find out which one is ideal for your playstyle. What would make more sense to me would be to announce what does what before hand so you can make an educated guess for what you want. For example if I diecided that the Nadir ship would be great but I wanted Shockwave and Gauss with Eli then thats a few packs I have to buy in addition to the game.

Whereas if they sold the game as one thing, the ship as a single entity alongside the individual pilot and weapons, then I can price tailor it to start with without having to purchase other bits that I wouldn't want. Yes I understand why pilots, ships and weapons are put together already but the key is giving such individuality available then it would be cheaper for the player to get what they want. The other thing that hasn't been announced yet is something to store them all in to keep it all safe.

    Ship stats

I am also waiting for some more detailed information on the ship stats to decide which ships to buy. They have given vague information about the ships but nothing specific. I would favour an all-rounder and then maybe a durable ship. I would maybe pick up a couple of others later.

The only info about this that o have seen was from carefully watching the Nintendo treehouse interview video. You can see the ship stats when they swap ships. I will post the clips.

    Mods

Also lots of views of ship and weapon mod info. Looks great for being able to tweak your ship stats for your preference or any given situation. I would love to know the other base ship stats, particularly zenith and Lance. Plus, as someone else mentioned, knowing the pilot special abilities would help in making purchasing decisions. Mason does an orbital strike, fox calls for a temporary ally and Neptune pilot can slow time.

thanks Neil, it would help if we knew what does what etc. Personally I'm more in favour of heavy armour myself so higher defense.
