Seriously. Like this person needs to be removed from handling this in-game mechanic, forever and ever. Not only is catching most decent or quest-worthy fish is practically ridiculous---there's no way in this world that a fishing line can be cast 10 yards...and take 5+ minutes to reel in and have the fish NEVER get any closer to the boat/shore. If you want to make it hard...have the fish caught be a smaller percentage to catch...rather than these ridiculously long fights with fish that almost always result in broken lines...which leads to another problem wherein most of these fish never tire. Ever. Even with perks and better rods. We're talking FRESHWATER fish, here. A really big one might take a few minutes to land....but fish constantly jumping, constantly breaking lines, and the fisherman himself never, ever makes any ground reeling the fish closer to shore..it's just a bit ridiculous.
What you had was a neat way to have fun with side quests. What we got was just boring, uneventful, and ultimately frustrating to the point of where people just don't want to do it..
Yes, a game, not a simulator. But I understand TXLordSkeletor also. He wants to make process of fishing a bit more realistic and exciting! Not robot-like. In this case some fishing simulator moments wouldn't be bad. But we shouldn't wait one fish for 2-3 hours. A middle ground must be found! How to make fishing interesting and exciting till the last minutes of the game. Otherwise -THE MORE I PLAY THE LESS I WANT TO FISH! Not interesting later....First, yes....but then....no.....All the same!
This. It took me ages, but then I realised AFTER I’d finally caught it, I’d been using the basic rod and weakest line.Originally Posted by Luvbeers7 Go to original post
Make sure you’re not making the same mistake because fish are really not difficult to land, and I suck at computer games.
