So from starting up the beta and entering my house, I was amazed to see how much you could do with the livery editor. So much better than what was present in the first The Crew. The customization (and vehicle purchasing) being all in one spot was also a much needed addition.
But I noticed that the livery system could've been better. At least for the sharing part. Look at what a game like GT Sport did in that you can search for liveries by most likes, downloads, give feedback via a comment system, or search for a decal by name, tags, date of upload, and other things. Though I haven't tried it, Forza I'd assume has a similar system. If I recall, TC2 only has the option to view top 100, newest, and most popular (maybe even a 4th option?) liveries. No way to give feedback nor do I recall a like feature. There should also be a way to share decals (and not just liveries) you make with other players, as well as a way to save those decals to use in other liveries.
And a bug with the decals I noticed was that decals can show on both sides of a vehicle. First saw it on a plane with decals on the top of the wings that would also show on the bottom of the wings. Also saw it when using decals on the left and right sides of the Ford Raptor's truck bed.
Lastly, though car customization is plentiful, is there going to be visual customization for boats and planes as well? All you could customize in the beta was the paint and livery of planes and boats. The visual customization section was locked for both, so I wasn't sure if that meant it won't be available in the beta, or it won't be available at all. I didn't check the other vehicle types like bikes or monster trucks, but I'd assume they also have no visual customization available.
Oh, and there needs to be an option to change the plane smoke color. I was surprised to not see any of this in the game. Surely I'm not the only person thinking about it either.
