    Losing my will to play

The more I play this game the more I don't want to play it.

I killed John and Jacob but didn't do their bunkers so there are plenty of enemies in their areas. Faith's region hosed me by giving me no option but to kill her and lose all the enemies in her region. But the problem is there are too many enemies. You deal with one guy and ten more just happen to be in the area. This is literally a cult of 10 million. There are more cult members in this one small valley than the regular normal population of all of Montana.

Not only that they got some kind of super huge discount on white trucks, cars, helicopters, .45 pistols, M4 clones, M60 and M2 machineguns, bows, body armor, smoke grenades, hand grenades, RPGs, M11 SMGs and baseball bats. I go into Jacob's territory and every 100m there is another helicopter, shooting at someone else, who just hovers around the area where I am, even though his prey has gone, until he spots me. Not to mention when I first started out every Peggie didn't wear body armor so the majority of the time a single shot from a .45 was sufficient to kill them or wound them. Now everyone has body armor so you have to carry the .50 sniper rifle to one shot them. There is no real enemy diversity, they are all body armored. The only unarmored Peggies I see any more are the chicks on the back of the quads or wandering the hills with their pitbull.

My AI teammates have gotten so stupid they constantly stand in front of me when I am trying to shoot at something or they now constantly bump me when we are walking somewhere. Patch updates keep saying they work on the AI but I think they are getting stupider because they never use to do that.

I tried my hand at hunting but gave up when a .50 cal bullet to a Caribou, Moose or Buffalo's head didn't one shot them. And then I had to chase them for 300 to 800m shooting at them with the super slow bullets until they just magically disappeared. And I can't keep up with them because I am a 75 year old, 500lb chain smoker and can only run full out for 3 seconds before I have to jog because of my sedentary lifestyle. It's not like I am portrayed as a healthy, fit law enforcement officer. Then there is the fact that most animals need at least 2 shots of AP ammo with a 308 or 45/70 to kill them. I shot a wolverine with a 308 and AP ammo, because even though it is supposed to penetrate armor it seems to do more damage, in the chest twice while aiming for his head and the sucker just kept coming.

Seriously Ubisoft why does EVERY game you make have slow *** bullets, and your animals wear body armor?

I shouldn't have to use AP ammo to hunt a buffalo or a moose with a 50 cal.

Not all enemies should have body armor just because I took over a town or an outpost.

I shouldn't be able to spin around and the dead bodies I was going to loot have disappeared, or new enemies have appeared behind me.

There shouldn't be 10 Peggies for every 100m in this valley and they shouldn't have so many vehicles and helicopters.

My bullets should fly faster and do more damage to animals, and not just disappear after a random set distance.

I should be able to run or swim for more than 3 seconds before I need to take a break.

All animals and people, including myself, should bleed out when hit with bullets or shrapnel.

I shouldn't have to chase a wounded animal 300m to 800m just to have them disappear, ESPECIALLY when I have the perk that says they wont run far.

I should be able to not have to carry 4 guns all the time, if I want I should be able to go unarmed.

I should be able to turn off the perks I want to so that fishing is challenging again.

My bat shouldn't magically reappear after I have broken it. I don't want the freaking thing in the first place but I can't put it down for some reason.

The roof mounted .50 cals on my Challenger El Camino should shoot further than 30m in front of me.

My Beretta should have the full 15 rounds it normally carries.

My friends should be smart enough not to sit in front of me when I am trying to shoot an enemy or constantly run into me like a drunk at Mardi Gras when we are walking.

Rocket Launcher friends shouldn't take 15 to 60 seconds to shoot when you give them a target. They are virtually useless. By the time they get around to firing the target is gone or moved behind cover.

All of these things and more just make me not want to bother. I started a new game and went back to my hard save because I just couldn't do it. Which is sad because I played FC4 like 6 times and most of the problems mentioned above were in that game too, AND it had **** *** protagonists with horrible objectives that I had to decide which was the lesser of two evils. I feel I am just becoming indifferent to Ubisoft's games. Nothing in them changes, it all feels the exact same to FC3. The enemy and terrain may be different and they got rid of the tower climbing but it all feels so done before. That is the only way to explain it.

There was no official announcement on animal's resistance in any of the patches, but for me animals spawn far less frequently and die much easier than they did at the start of the game.

Again. This isn't the case for me. One shot from a .50 cal is enough in my experience.

    They don't.

You can run and swim indefinitely.

True, if the game is going for ultimate realism, but aside from MilSims like Arma, I don't know any shooter where anyone that's hit bleeds out.

I've never had a bat magically fix itself, But the weapon wheel was a terrible terrible invention. FPS should go back to the simple system of tapping a button to scroll through the weapons.

    @OP,

I agree. I don't like what this series has ultimately become. IMO, FC5 is the result of gameplay that has been progressively dumbed down over time (e.g. mechanics, physics, effects, etc.). I get that some folks are ok with this direction but things that made previous iterations of titles in the franchise attractive or fun to me, simply were not there in FC5.

There is room to introduce more "realistic" elements without having to go overboard in the sense that FC becomes more hardcore than what it needs to be to simply add more complexity, immersiveness and depth to the gameplay.

We can change nothing in the game now....Too late! But think about your enemies some other way.....May be there is something behind the fact that so many enemies in the game!

Developers, what about.... in the next game you will let us to gather a combat unit of 5 -10 fighters?! (May be even some small platoon of 15 fighters).....If story let us and enemies will be strong. Every fighter may have its own combat skills ,character, his own stories to tell us.....

I have never noticed any change with the animals they spawn and die the same.

Jacob's sniper rifle would beg to differ with you. I have shot multiple Moose and Buffalo in the head without using AP and they run away.

After you take a certain number of outposts or accrue a certain number of RP the enemy go from being 1 shots with the .45 to multi shots with the AR-C. Again the only unarmored foes I see are the biker chicks and the hiker chicks. Start a new game and see for yourself. There are many more unarmored foes at the beginning than even halfway through John's region. I get that they do it to increase difficulty, but you can keep the easy guys in as well, especially when there are over 10 million of them running around. Easy guys kill you just as good as the tough guys.

You can JOG indefinitely, you can RUN for only 3 seconds at a time. Even an out of shape guy like me can run for 10 or 15 seconds and jog for 30 seconds and run for 10 or 15 seconds again. And the game portrays me as a law officer in great shape.

That isn't ultimate realism, they did it for the prey, why not everything else?

I'm obviously not talking the aluminum bat. Every wood melee weapon in the game when you hit a wall or tree enough shatters and you magically get a new one.
