Not sure if this was reported before.
Basically, whenever I try to do one of the off-road photo challenges (wheely on a dam, or be somewhere in a specific car) the game would not register the car I was in.
So, when I was trying to do a wheely on the dam, it would register that I was on the dam, it would register wheely but not the bike... Or, take the Buggy to the top of the mountain, it would register that we are at the right place but not the car, even though, I was in the buggy.
Really weird. I tried restarting the game but with no luck. My friend who was playing with me at the time had no problems.

I had the same problem and found a solution by accident. Try to zoom out. Hopefully i could help you.
