Dear Ubisoft,
for me one of the most annoying points in Division 1 is the stash/inventory management.
Its feels like a management system for consoles implemented 1:1 for PC player.
I would wish myself for D2 a stash management system for PC.
A good example how a stash management on PC should look like are stashs like in Diablo 3, WOW, etc.....
Means that you can move and place items however you want and not limited to mostly pointless sorting system.
Its rly annoying to scroll trough a full inventory sorted by item type to find a missing item of a certain set f.e.
At lest I didnt found a option in D1 so faar how to sort items by set type.
With the suggested inventory management player would have a way better overview of theyr items and its easier to play around with combinations, like in most of the other RPGs.
It would be rly nice if you could optimize the inventory/stash management for PC player in D2...or at least allowing modding for things like this.
Ty in advance
Yeah, the UI could use some work in TD2.
Given that the new weapon icons seem to be fully renders instead of just silhouettes (which I liked a lot, as they still got their job perfectly well) I argue to get rid of pretty much redundant data when it comes to gear (and perhaps let the stash access gear of all characters to make swapping gear easier).
Gear icon in terms of a weapon (which would likely be the most complex of items) would only need to display what weapon it is (see icon), its talents and perhaps level/gearscore as everything else is just noise.
This would allow these items to operate on 1x1 or 2x1 tiles instead of screen-wide bars as present in The Division, allowing for much higher item density on screen.
It'd also be great if the stash screen was split in half vertically, showing character inventories on one side and shared stash on the other, facilitating drag&drop usage, pretty much the most classic PC approach.
It's always a problem to design UI that works both on PC and a console, though with the recent trend of virtual cursors (like in Destiny or Warframe) it should be possible to create more of a PC-focused UI that wouldn't be completely unusable on a console.
This was one of the console considerations I was talking about somewhere else..... but I digress.
I agree. One of the biggest issues for me was sleek fast use of the inventory/stash system. So many options, filters and selection/deselection options could have been added to make it a much faster process. Same could be said for crafting or opening caches. Even if the process to perform this can just be automated. Click select all. Open caches or craft 10x of that item. I dont mind if it still takes the same amount of time, but let it be a background process. Then a selection option, select recently crafted items. Click dismantle. etc etc.
They could do lots. Lets see what they do.
