At the moment tiebreakers for tournaments are determined by who took the least average time to win their rounds. This includes the tournament final which I found out a couple of days agoas I got placed second place in the first ever tournament I ever played.
I think this metric is an issue since some heroes are inherently more aggressive in their playstyle than others and this leads to skewed times in the length of the rounds that you win. I can see how an instant way to resolve ties is beneficial during the tournament as extra rounds would stagger all of the ladder. However, something such as average % health left would make for a much fairer metric in my opinion. Furthermore, for the final of a tournament, there are only two players left anyways, so there really isn't a reason not to allow extra tiebreaker rounds to determine the winner.
