    [SUGGESTION]split singleplayer and multiplayer launchers

i only ever play multiplayer anymore so the game is currently taking more than 50gbs on my disk.
please split the files so that i am allowed to only install the multiplayer and not the singleplayer which would probably reduce the space the game uses on my disk greatly.
the same goes for people that never play multiplayer.

I suspect the two modes share a lot of data including a lot of the map definition.

    Hello,

As mentioned above, this wouldn't work due to hardware limitations on the consoles. The reason lesser and lesser split screen games release is because more games are hugging the console's limitations nowadays. If you have split screen you'd need to run the same game twice, with a complicated open world mechanism as wildlands has will be simply impossible. On pc it might be possible, but there are many other reasons why that wouldnt work out.

Do you realise what is hardware would be required do have split screen in this game.
New gen consoles can not get stable fps in that game, and even now you need powerful PC to run it in 60 fps 1080p
Split screen means double data generated, so to run game like that you would need PC from NASA.

So no ! Split screen won't happen.
He doesn't mention split screen, kmarko. He's talking about separating the game say you can play PvP or PvE from launchers and then also getting rid of the mode you don't want to play and clearing its storage space.

Yes, he is asking for separate launchers for PVE and PVP, much like how COD does it, on PC at least. But that is likely impossible, because unlike COD, the campaign and Ghost War share almost all the same infrastructure. Same maps, most of the same game mechanics , same character models and customization options. So ,if all you want is to play Ghost war, and save dsk space, just uninstall the other DLC packs, including the two missions, Peruvian Connection and Unidad Conspiracy.

You're so focused on trying to be an arse to people on these forums you miss his point entirely.

Why so much angst Marko? You can respond to people without being a complete jerk all the time. .....or better yet, don't if it bothers you this much.

    @OP,

A stand-alone version has been requested several times from the community for various reasons but Ubi has already said that there are no plans to separate them. .....perhaps for reasons mentioned.

On that note, wasn't the GW beta stand-alone (didn't require GRW)? .....or maybe I'm not remembering that correctly?

Yeah it was, but was pretty large if I recall, and only played 3 maps ... I think.

Yeah, we've made sure to let the team know about this request but there's no plans to do so that I'm aware of.

Sometimes it's good to read the initial post first.

And cut the ********, will ya. There are difference between developer not wanting to due to game development vision or build and a hardware being incapable of running a software.
