The controls are horrible.
1. Seriously, the menu is on B? Like who the hell thinks "oh, I want to quit the game, so I have to press B"? You know your designers screwed up when people have to use google to find out how to open the menu, not to mention how to use the controls in general.
2. No hints about how to fly a plane and no reaction to when I pressed escape made me quit the game via task manager and restarting it to get to the keybinds.
3. No options button in the menu???!??!! Do I really have to restart the game every time I want to make a minor change to the settings?
I played this game for 10 minutes and I already hate the experience. You seriously need to overhaul the UI and your default controls. What you did reminded me of this... https://imgur.com/gallery/qA4Bu
Here's a nifty hint for you.
If you do not know what button to press, instead of pressing every key like a dunce in hopes you find the correct one, pause the game and look at the keybindings.
I rebound mine from B to Q
But i have to agree on one point, opening that menu which uses the driving controls to quit the game is a bad idea. put it into the pause menu.
In addition to that, Not being able to drive and use the manu is also stupid. in TC1 your phone menu can be used while driving, now you gotta stop or at least just let your vehicle do whatever happens to is as you select a radio station or remove a pin from the screen.
@MrFunreal
Well, that's the point, escape didn't pause the game, so all I could think of doing save from pressing every button, was quitting the game and looking at the options after just starting it up.
@megaflux1
What start? Please show me where the start button is on a keyboard. And looking at they keymap isn't required to complete the tutorial in any game, so this is just more proof that the designers screwed up. As for flying the plane, I wish it was that easy. Down is actually "look back" and not up. Down is right control, and yaw is on Q and E instead of left and right.
Yes I am aware that you can get to the button mapping menu and have a look around via the pause screen.
I'm also aware that this is an absurd step to have to perform to find a "quit game" option. Esc is there for a reason and with every PC game I own its always been the defacto "get the hell out of here" button. Hence its being referred to as the Escape Key.
I was so annoyed that this was not is function that I just used Ctrl+Alt+Del instead. Seemed the correct absurd solution for an absurd issue.
Thanks though.
