This seems to depend on the amount of DLC I bought. The more DLC there is, the higher the likelihood of the game freezing. After the current Steam sale it's about 50-50 I can return to the song list without having to restart the game which makes it pretty much unusable.

AFAIK, this is not a common issue.

CPU, GPU, OS, Memory, audio device, and speaker setup.

Do you have a similar result to what was described in the Steam thread when verifying your game files in Steam? What file is repaired when verifying your files if any?

I do have the same behavior but it's not really a problem. The file is 'steam_appid.txt' which Rocksmith deletes after every start (though you probably shouldn't ship it to begin with).

I played around a bit more: It seems that the freezing only happens when using an Xbox controller (take this with a grain of salt though, it's a random error).
