    PvP & PvE

Every time I see someone calling for a nerf, I think where is this going too stop, well in TD it didn't still continues, now it's Striker, good knows what it will be after Striker if they do nerf it.

I hope they make PvP part of the game different from the PvE, so the PvP player's can call for nerfs till the end of the game and it won't affect the PvE player's.

I have nothing against PvP player's, but when you have a lot of stats on gear and such, your going to get a lot of moaner's simple. I'd like it not too affect me this time round.

    My thoughts exactly Natfrog.

When you have as many different variables as the division has on gear, your always going to get imbalance one way or another, even more so in PvP, and I don't think this should spill over into PvE side of the game.

The nerfing of skills was always because, 1st the skill to use it really depends on the placement and not aiming. 2nd the DPS, in your face tankers hated that a player could take advantage of a skill and run off. At one time in this game you would see a group of players dancing in a circle and have a player run in drop seekers or a turret and it would start to melt those who wasn't paying attention. Truth is if one of them would have shot the SB once, he would have died and the rest would never have had an issue.

So instead of finding a way to make skills require skill to use, they just nerfed them to the point there was no reason to use them.

I always was in the opinion that people cried nerf when they tried PvP and got melted, and instead of adopting they ran to the forums, and cried about what ever they thought gave that other player the upper hand and called it over powered, not only skills got the nerf.

Look at the Striker sensation at the minute, do you honestly think if they nerfed that it would settle the moaners down. I'd doubt it. It would just pass on too something else they got melted with, and it would be the new gear/gun/skill that was OP and needing a nerf. And Massive hasn't the balls to deal with it, to late now any I suppose.

Strikers is the only set that does damage. If they lowered TTK they can nerf strikers into the ground for all I care.

Back when BFB was running loose I loved it. Never used it and it was annoying but if they missed they were dead. I was killed a handful of times with it total and that included seekers as well.

It would have balanced itself. You can be a damage dealer with good heals but you going to be squishy. You can be a damage dealer and harder to kill but you not going to be able to heal as well. What we have however is a set that allows great damage while pumping health/toughness with the ability to heal with a % based off of nothing more than hitting your target with a very stable gun. It has no place in this game.
Did you read anything I wrote?

I don't have high hopes that it will be built better in regards to being able to separate PvP and PvE elements. I saw a video and the way the devs answered this question it just sounded like they were not going to be able to fully firewall the two.

The Devs stated in an interview with SkillUp the PvP & PvE mechanics are going to work seamlessly as the did in Div1. Get out the Nerf wand!

That will certainly cut the player base to near minimums.
