I hope Ubisoft will respond in some way.

And to be clear the graphics and draw distance is not a player side issue. It is the forced settings inside the game what you devs locked to be not tinkered with. I hope you acknowledge the hold back graphics as often enough mentioned you can get a clear picture be changing the taa value from 1 to 0 in the config file. You really need another way to make the reflection effect look better without taa because as sharp as the picture goes then you have little pixels all over the place if you don't disable reflections. I mean come on your other open world games can look great to whats the problem here?

I actually do believe this will be fixed. It's not that they don't know how to make good looking games so this seems to be a bug that, considering how you guys are describing it, feels like an incompatibility or poor integration between different graphic effects.

I really want to believe you, but can't, specially when it was like this with previous iterations of the game.

Same here, the textures look like they have no anisotropic filtering at all, and the view distance is very low. I think that's the only thing detracting from the game's visuals (also fxaa looks like garbage, just disable it in-game guys). The lighting and shadows are pretty good tho.

And when I manually disabled TAA - this happened:
    https://prnt.sc/jy5ut5
    https://prnt.sc/jy5vpa

A junkload of PIXEL GRAIN magically appeared in the shadows.

That reminds me of games with a limited color palette, alpha channel? never heard...

Well i noticed something particular with the tree-leaves at certain draw distances. i think it's some kind of LOD/draw distance issue.

Let's say at 200meters distance you would see a tree in a somewhat basic way, but at least you see all the leaves textures.
At 100 meters, the leaves would half dissapear in a somewhat strange way (it would just look like the tree has lost 50% of its leaves).
At 50 meters and closer, all the leaves come back in detail and it looks fine.

Long Distance (somewhat basic graphics but ok) -> Medium Distance (something strange happens with graphics) -> Low Distance (everything is fine again and more detailed).
