    Steering Wheel PS4

PS4. Thrustmaster t300rs with h-shifter and clutch. Shifting and clutch good. Gas and brake good. Steering is terrible. Spent lots of time with settings. Had to set rotation to 720 and steering to precise. Still fairly bad tho. This may be a deal breaker 4 me.

Yep, not a good experience on my Thrustmaster T150 (paddle shifters) and PS4 either. Limp and sluggish steering and some of the worst and dullest force feedback of any racing game - arcade or sim - I remember playing with wheels.

This was basically the same as I remember from the first game, but while controller input has improved and gotten tighter and more responsive, wheel support doesn't seem to have changed at all, and possibly even gone back a little.

In it's current state I would say wheel use is barely adequate for leisure drives (which is what I used it for in the first game) and completely unusable for actual races where I'll definitely be picking up the controller, unless improvements are made to wheel support.

On early beta steering was good, but with little issues. But now i agree its terryble. Seems like added some physics dampers or something like this and this affect on force feedback. Because car now not affect on road edge or something like this. That i thing critical.

I agree that the wheel controls are very bad it's undriveable the in game wheel doesn't match up with my wheel and the force feedback is nothing compared to other race games

Developers please play a race game and make the controls the same in the crew 2

Looks like steering wheel is too heavy, propably because Devs added higher damper and spring effects. With force feedback turned to 100% its pretty informative, but the heavyness of the wheel makes it impossible to drive. With force feedback set to 10-20% the dampers are okayish (for me it should be even lighter), but you get barely any information about cars behaviour. Also with such high damper/spring effect its impossible to drift - you are not able to center the wheel fast enough to finish drift.

The main problem is that console players dont have possiblity to change damper/spring effect settings in Thrustmaster Control Panel (like on a PC). The only hope are the Devs, who can add such feature to the game so...

Please further this issue to the Dev team, so that they let us - console players - set daper/spring effect on steering wheels or at least set it in game code to 0%.

You say so? During closed beta it was better? I hope they will fix that, because I really like this game, especially with steering wheel.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am using Thrustmaster T150 steering wheel

    Wheel and game feedback

I tried the G29 with shifter.
After many much playing around with in-game settings, I am not very impressed.
the brakes are quite dull and fairly unresponsive until slammed.
the steering response is terrible, it's sluggish.
Had it dialed down to 570° to make it feel like 900° otherwise it was like driving a truck.
Lack of feedback/ input from suspension and road surface.
Few bugs with controls from controller to wheel, the entire force feedback goes dead and has to be reset,
the transition between the two needs to be fluid.
You can't fly a plane on the wheel.
You just can't, "up" and "down" buttons for elevation...
    Really?

    Why not use the following:
    throttle - shifter
    Wheel - roll
    Clutch and accelerator - pitch/flaps
    paddles - tail
Or... even use shifter to control the pitch and paddles to control the flaps.

    Boats:
    Throttle - gear shifter
    Rudder - wheel
    Rear flaps/stabaliser - paddles

The A.I drive silly fast, especially for wheel users.
This issue needs addressing and quick, no more godly A.I drivers that catch up and overtake you when winning by 2s+ please...

My personal experience with the game so far:
It feels, almost cheap like an arcade game that's trying to go for a simulator.
The graphics debuff for the PlayStation 4 has been utterly dreadful.
A friend sent me a screen shot of the game I was in with her and it was almost "San Andreas" PS2 era bad.
    (Could not attach file unfortunately)

    Good points:
    Great car selection
    Cars sound fantastic
    Customisable TC and ABS
    Visual parts
Planes and boats break it up
    Large areas to explore

    Improvements:
Amend disappearing players on in game map, even on friends list.
Turbo BOV and supercharger whine needs to be louder on upgraded cars.
Brake disk grinding/ squeal there isn't any...
Option for Customisable gearbox ratios/ tunable shifting point for auto boxes, please.
E.g. Chrysler 300c has awful 2nd gear and 1st rev bounces so hard in auto.
    No Dyno tune ability
Brightness and gamma etc. you can't adjust the in game screen for best picture at all.
    No Suspension adjustments
    E.g. lowering, camber stiffness etc.
    Car costs not realistic.
    (250k+ for basic cars)
    Can't sell cars
    No tuners for parts.
    No custom guages
    No fast travel anywhere
No medals like in the crew 1
Pre- selected modes for vehichles, no builds available.
Menu for inviting crew members is way over complicated.
    Options- roster- invite to crew
(Just add it to the "radio" button menu)
Raidio button- friends- invite to crew/ join crew.
