Do you lot think that could become a thing. It doesn't have to involve anything public, like chicken feathers or donkey ears, in a public area of the game. A minor achievement for not quitting a number of times maybe?
I think we've all been there, you're grouped for a mission, whatever difficulty, everything is going fine and then it just goes Fubar. A lucky grenade toss, an elite sniper shot, the lack of that single AR somehow begins to tell, you need to leave your cover to rez and the next thing you know, all four, (or two) of you are respawning. Only for Rando123, to leave the group.
Don't get me wrong, for most missions, the game adjusts and you still win, but if you were over enthusiastic and a bit to low level, or it was your healer, in the final stage of an incursion and Rando just fubar-ed you even worse.
Its not a terrible thing, but maybe it could help encourage someone to show a little patience with someone who did a booboo, by enthusiastically trying to melee a hunter the first time he encounters one. (seen it)
Why should there be stats for players quitting a mission, don't see any point in doing that. Or would you kick them out (make them quitting again) before starting the mission? Yesterday I entered a session with 3 others, one was at GS 273, and two other at level 14, 19. They were trying to complete a challenging mission, only to find out the AI kept killing them rather quickly. So yes, I did quit that mission and tried matchmake again. No point staying in having to fight enemy levels for 4 players while being strongest at 291 and taking the brunt from the AI.
I am all for it. I am also all for punishing those who go out of their way and strive to get others to rage quit. I have been in groups where a teammate goes down and others leave them down and refuse to help them and sets there and insults, blames that player if we fail. They seem to forget we are on the same team.
Seconded.Originally Posted by gt2k Go to original post
The matchmaker should be smart enough not to match make you with people your totally mis-matched with.Originally Posted by echolecter Go to original post
Yep, and then they usually get kicked right before the end of the mission.Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
I have to say I've been lucky when playing with randoms, I have never seen anyone not trying to revive a fallen team mate. Sure there has been times they might have too retreat, then come back if three have went down, done it my self. Thankfully touch wood I continue to have positive team players.Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
I've played in games where team mates avoid certain fallen team members even when not under fire. I have never personally been kicked from a team, but have had Elite (a$$ wipes) abandon the team. Many people get stuck in bad teams, it's one game in 20, live with it, be nice and help.Originally Posted by Wombles-_- Go to original post
