I’d like to get a few specific items, but I’m definitely not spending $60 to buy a bunch of packs to get the single desired item from each. And to HELL with the RNG loot-crate nonsense.
If I could just pick & choose what I’d like to purchase, I’d definitely spend some more money on the game, but as it stands currently, I’m not spending a dime.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way either, and I’d bet Ubisoft would get more money from such a system than they are from the current one.
Please consider!
Apparently, just like someone else said last time, their gamble box isn't needed at all to win the game. It's all purely for cosmetic/vanity items and doesn't affect your game progression. Even for the weapons, you practically only can get the reskinned version of available items or within the range of performance, for the same or worse, of the available items.
Now if they have the audacity to sell starter pack for the price of a season pass and Fallen Ghosts weapon for the price of the WHOLE DLC itself, do you think having the ability to purchase a single item would be more beneficiary to you? Most likely they will have the guts to sell a single helmet for $11.

Yeah we know this but we are not really talking about winning the game, we already bought it. We are just informing that these packs are BS and nothing can be separated to be purchased. Look in every pack and you'll see a weapon or weapon skins u wouldn't even think about using or equipping, and it's basically a forced buy if u want one particular item u want really bad. Totally over priced if anything
I was responding to statement of how Ubi still haven't got themselves into trouble despite of the lootbox.Originally Posted by sgtsmithki Go to original post
No sh*t about the whole thing being bullsh*t. I already said what OP said since the middle of last year.
I almost uninstalled and got a refund when i first booted the game up and saw **** pay-walled on day one after purchasing a gold edition, if I had known there was going to be any kind of lootcrates added later I definitely would have refunded. I feel like I've been taken advantage of to be honest, I know I don't have to buy anything but it's preying on my impulsive tendencies and addiction to the game, before you know it your like hey wrist blades look cool and you've bought them and just wasted 20$. All this garbage is not cool in a fully priced game period, barely acceptable even with free to play games. Also this has pretty much soured me for any future purchase of a ubisoft game, it'll be broken at launch, after a few weeks the player base will drop by 95%, it'll go on sale at this point but it'll still be broken, eventually it'll go really cheap but by that point all the garbage gimmicky classes and features they futilely added in an attempt to entice people to play but will have made joining at this point a daunting grind (unless you fork over lots of money) and really not worth it.
If the items were individually priced (and reasonably priced, if digital gloves that can only be used in a game cost 20$ you can go **** yourselves imo) and there was a way to earn currency in game to purchase the cosmetics (prestige credits possibly???) it would be far more palatable. But I doubt that this will be implemented and even if it is will it be enough, probably not.
