1. Take away the block-shove. It completely kills the game and makes no sense. Take out the heavy-shoves too.
2. Make his dodge shoves a little faster, and make them guarantee a light attack (special light with blinding effect). Take off the armor of them.
3. Give him a light-light-heavy combo, with unblockable finisher.
4. Make his chain finishers hyperarmored.
5. Let him feint his longarm during the early frames.
1. yes, block-shove need to go. not sure about the heavy-shoves though, i kinda like them.
2. i wouldn't mind giving his shoves a blinding effect, but instead of granting a light, make the shove do a bit of dmg + blind and then not guarantee anything. you can follow it up with the second attack of any of your combos, so this could work. im not sure about making dodge-shove faster, i dont want him to become a second warlord with the shovespam. atleast dont buff the forward dodge-shove.
3. L, L, UB, seems a bit much, especially if shoves would blind the opponents. (would result in giving LB a shoveblind+light+unblockable)
4. i need some kind of explanation for this, i dont see why we need this change. he's supposed to be a heavyish counterattacker so giving him UI armor seems odd. unless you wanna make him into a character who trades attacks instead of counters with punishes, like Highlander.
5. yes his longarm needs something. either making it faster or giving it an early feint. OR possibly implement it in his combos like giving you the option to use longarm after a shove (assuming the previous changes mentioned are in effect). sidedodge shove into Heavy/Grab/Longarm mixup?
i really would like to see some changes to LB, he is in a weird position right now. even with these hypothetical changes, he would still lack a good initiation. i Really dont want to see his forward dash-shove become faster, but perhaps if Longarm was implemented somehow.
instead of putting it into a mixup like suggested in point nr5, we could make heavies softfeint into a slow longarm with UI armor or something like that. forcing the opponent to react somehow instead of just blocking stuff.
im not sure how all this would play out, but atm he's boring to play as and against.
1. I wanted to remove the heavy-shove because it would be a bit broken with the changes I suggested. If it's a 100% guaranteed light attack, that would mean that the lawbringer deals 40+ damage on every guardbreak, plus blind and starts a full combo.
2. I don't think it should be as fast as the warlord/conqueror, but something to counter these two's bashes, or the warden shouldberbash. The special light's damage might be only 10, then it's quite fair, especially if there is no followup on a miss.
3. I don't think it would be broken. Right now, the lawbringer can't really access his unblockable, and it's very slow, telegraphed, and easily punished. This way, the lawbringer could get real oos pressure (what everyone should have). His side lights are quite slow anyway, only the top one is dangerous.
4. While he has the option to feint for a parry, most of his chainfinishers, especially the unblockable, are so slow that you can just hit him out with a fast light easily. It's not meant as a trading tool, since all his chains are 3 part, he has very hard access to this armor.
5. I think that making it usable during chains is fine too. Or giving the option to feint it into the zone, catching early dodges, but I think that the simple feint is the best option.
