Hide the HUD... and this time, mean it

I don't want to see a HUD when I select hide the HUD. Not when in combat, not when one bullet is missing from a mag, not when enemies are close, and certainly I don't need a reminder that I can press F to see the HUD... not ever.

The HUD in TD1 is horrendous. I don't know how it became a thing to have a billboard float next to the player and over the backpack, not allowing to move it out of the way to the side.

I didn't mind it, tbh. But then again, I like seeing information. With racing games, I'm that guy who has the track map, lap times, split times, RPM indicator, speedo, damage/temperature indicators all visible, and crammed into every inch of screen real estate I can afford.

That being said, though, I definitely agree that there should be an option for someone to, if they so choose, turn off 100% of the HUD, and have it remain off 100% of the time.

I don't mind information either, but not floating in the center of my screen in the form of a large billboard. If I could move the billboard to the side and onto a corner, I'd be fine. But I can't. And when I choose the game option to hide the HUD, it doesn't really hide it.

It's like the game thinks I don't really mean it when I choose "Hide the HUD".

I’m sure it can be done as it automatically happens in Survival.......I run about and at the most inopportune times everything disappears off the screen.

I can only agree that he HUD is simply annoying being positioned in the middle of the screen. But even worse are contaminated zone indicators that popup when you are taking cover at the wrong spot. You can't see anything anymore as they fill up such a large part of the screen. Besides that the information is just redundant, who cares about them when nothing happens if you enter that zone. I don't have problem with HUD itself but why not have it in the bottom/top corner like the radar, in that case you won't even have to hide it.
