Will there be a new rating system for user tracks? Something like a 10 star system and having to get gold or play a track 5 times before rating it? Currently people can spend a week/s building a track and have it disliked in to oblivion by players who only play it once. Then some empty/blank panada track will get tons of likes for apparently no reason.
Will cross platform sharing return and will you be able to see the users name instead of fusion shared?
Will you be able to label tracks 'Ninja' in difficulty setting?
Will there be more pre-built tracks to build off of? Downloading and changing parts of Inferno would be a lot of fun. Being able to edit Redlynx tracks could make for some interesting user creations.
Yes this is a concern and must be addressed, a couple of thumbs down can sink a beautiful track.Originally Posted by eH reH eH reH Go to original post
I think going back to a star-rating system could fix this, where the accumulated number of stars are the only factor that decide how high a track are on 48h/week list etc.
One (1) star should be the least amount possible to rate, so NO downvote or minus-stars should be allowed.
I dont agree with passing a track multiple times or having a medal-limit should be a factor to be able to vote tho.
With my limited skills I don't want to pass tracks like couch&cringe more than once to be able to give stars, and what about the high-level ninjas out there, they really shouldn't have to pass lvl7's more than once to cast a vote.
Also on normal difficulties you may like a track, but not enough to get a specific medal or run it several times.
Well ninja's are different because you have to redo obstacles over and over again to learn and progress, so you have an intimate understanding of the track on one completion. However easy through hard tracks and most extreme tracks can be completed much easier and you might not notice how much time went into smoothing the driving line or making different routes etc... 5 completions on a 30 second track to rate it wouldn't be asking much, but on a giga track that may be pushing it so idk 2 completions for a 5 min track, 1 completion for anything 6min+ could work. On fusion I usually go for plat before I'll rate a track and speedrun it repeatedly first even if the track isn't that great. If a track has zero effort put into it e.g. no obstacles or copy/pasted objects with little method to their layout then I usually won't bother playing it and if I decide to play through I go for plat. Gold on easy - hard tracks before rating isn't asking much, because people would want their track to be rated so they'd likely make it a fair medal time.Originally Posted by fleskeknoke Go to original post
This. I've lost count how many times I didn't rate a track because I couldn't decide whether to give it a thumbs up or thumbs downOriginally Posted by eH reH eH reH Go to original post
Get ready for one post here that will change track central for the better.
No spam filter. One track every 3 days tops. Track central has been hurt before with spamming. A one day is nothing. There are those who have a thousand tracks...all usually equally poor.
As we know, decent decor and a clean kind take at least a few hours to put down.
This will increase the overall quality on TC out of the gate. Really it should be one a week tops. The spammers are the downfall of TC. Not even a time of day change...let’s say no to this.
From the stream it sounded like they will keep the current voting system with thumb up or down.Originally Posted by FlevoHD Go to original post
Agreed, it could even be 14 Days between publishing I think..Originally Posted by VEGASTRASH Go to original post
Bill Burr said it the best, video is about Netflix but applies to Track Central:

So if i get it right they made the biggest Trials editor ever (with at least 8.000 objects, scalable objects etc) for what ? For the same rating system as Trials Fusion with thumb up / thumb down ? Seriously? What a joke! ...
If they are not doing a better rating system than it was in Fusion i will definitely make no more than one track.
