The problem is when I try to open the game the first little rectangular screen opens for a while then it goes away and the game doesn't open. In addition to this, the game appears to be open as seen in the task manager but doesn't close as fast as other games or apps when I try to end task. I don't get an error message or anything and was able to play yesterday at Sunday 2 am Vancouver. But now I cant open the game.

Could you try clearing the Uplay cache?
