Yep it is the new meta, it holds you in place when on fire and then unless you have Skulls gloves, who would wear them in PVP, you can not fire, plus it strips health away as it burns, meaning the one singed has to use a booster shot or pop a med kit, or risk fighting at much less than optimal health.
Just wait till next week it will change and something new will be the new meta

Hey Sw33tChinMu51c a well organised and almost untouchable team set up, especially if you are solo, but also for many teams who would not be set up to counter that style of game play.
Maybe you have seen the beginning of a new team meta game style.
In survival recently and the Hunter was sending out seeker mines that would blow up the support box, but on one occasion when in a hurry threw it too far away and in the open he threw a grenade to take it out. Good tactics in one way but rather grubby, personally support boxes should be sturdy, but the issue comes when a team can throw 4 of them or 4 fire turrets out at once and with high skill build they are available again before the current ones expire, it becomes as annoying as a couple of LMB grenade spammers.
The issue with Striker being OP, is the vast healing options, combined with innate set healing, bonus hit healing, booster shots, support stations, med kits, talents, health on kill bonuses and a healer in a team setting and it is almost impossible to kill them.
Back in 1.3 I think, there was an Underground mission where the LMB guys had medics who would spam support boxes everywhere and rush round fixing them when you shot the support box. In the end it was worked out you had to team rush a medic, kill him and then when they were gone you could take out the boxes and eventually the team, but they were yellow high end so you could get taken out easily, especially as every now and then a yellow shot gun team would randomly rush out, but it was a long and slow mission to complete. But if you did not remove the healing support you could not win the mission.
It will be interesting to see what defence / strategy is used to combat such a difficult offence.
Question:I have a turret with 16500 dam and seekers 90k with demolition /wildfire 15extra skill power on BP (full health) and destructive /elite damage on weapon which procs if weapon equipped as additional damage (seekers only)
If I don't get one shot killed in DZ what exactly is the effect on players in PVP as I've never used it.
Ps I know elite /des is pointless against real people.
Seeing a lot of Flame Turrets and Seekers too! It’s seems to be a pretty strong team based counter to entire teams of Strikers. They have to shoot nearly an entire mag at the skills to prevent being set on fire or staggered/bled. Pretty effective way to keep their stacks low or zero them out completely. But it takes the team to be onboard, if two or three other players keep running off to facetank, it’s not nearly as effective.
The options have always been there. It's just that most people don't take the time to do a team based build. They just do "solo" builds and then team up with another three players with the same build. In the beginning it was the 1 shot sticky bomb build but then that got nerfed so then they moved to seeker mines then shock turret then now flame turret.
Their both trash in PvP now, after 1.8 Flame Turret got nerfed into the ground to the point were a 1.7 3PC Firecrest, 2PC Tacticians, Barrets/Inventive does WAY more damage than a 5PC Classified Firecrest, Barrets/Inventive or 6PC classified does.Originally Posted by Jankypox Go to original post
Like 1.7 I would roast people in PvP for anywhere from 8 to 11K damage, 1.8 rolled around and that same turret your lucky if you hit someone for 6K and everyone has like 100-150K more health.
