On March 20 last year, I bought For Honor via Steam. It didn't run well enough for my liking (fullscreen was disabled on my mobile GPU), so on the 27th I refunded it, again via Steam.
With the Starter Edition being 'add for free' this week and the other editions 75% off I wanted to try it again - it works much better now that fullscreen is fixed (well done and thanks, devs!), so I want to upgrade to Deluxe or Gold, but there's a problem - my account seems to be standard on Uplay. It's like the fact I refunded it didn't go through to Uplay. I'm basing this on the fact that when I launch the game, Heroes are available to be recruited for 500 Steel each, and the later additions for 15K steel each. To the best of my knowledge, the 'base game' heroes should be 8,000 (or 10,000?) steel to recruit on Starter Edition.
I have 3 different versions of For Honor selectable in the 'Games' section of Uplay: under 'My Games' I have one which gives me an option to Play the game, and one which prompts me to 'Download' the game - clicking this takes me to the Steam store page, so that's definitely the Steam version I had and refunded. And then under 'Free Games' I also have For Honor Starter Edition; when I explicitly launch this version of the game, I'm still able to recruit all the other Heroes for 500 steel.
In other words, I think my Uplay account is credited with a version of the game that I refunded and hence shouldn't have; can an admin check and verify this? I'd love to get this sorted out as soon as possible so I can safely purchase one of the non-starter editions while it's still on sale.
Thanks in advance!
Hi PolTimesplitter,
Thanks for reporting this to us.
I can see that the game hasn't been removed, as you mention, this is usually handled automatically based off information from Steam.
