Hazard & Avenger Shields - Survival DZ

Massive/Ubi - I'm not a fan of the DZ., the heart rate over 120bpm as I see another player will testify. Can you give me the opportunity to get all 12 Shields by making Survival DZ bosses and landmarks contribute to the Avenger and Hazard achievements. That would also be the case for the next 8 Shields that you may already have embedded in PvP - Give me a PvE fighting chance to obtain them.

I have no issues with PvP and I do see it's attraction, The Most Dangerous Game as a reference, but it's not for me. I'm a PvE [solo] player like many others.

It’s ridiculously easy to solo complete landmarks in the DZ and that’s without running into other players - give it a go, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Jello is correct, you can solo these. Just watch your map, watch for extractions...rogue magnets. Eyes and ears while you are moving always. Use your pulse also, it can usually help you know if other players are near, as well as help with damage...pulse mods help too. I’m finished with everything but Hazard, but it will done soon...all done solo. Or, forgot all that and run with friends.🙂

LOL! Taking down a landmark is easy, but in the DZ has no guarantees. Just this morning I ran into players that in the middle of clearing the landmark chose to turn on me and making it impossible for me to finish clearing the landmark. Was that their right? Sure, anytime you have 4v1 it is your right to be a DB and try to take out a solo player. Both times I survived one occasion they didn't.

Not everyone has PvP builds, so avoiding PvP is very difficult when you are in a middle of a fight. Yet some players seem to think the game treats both styles of players in the DZ the same. It doesn't. It favors the PvP player.

Thank you both. Having read your posts I plucked up enough courage to get in there and it is, as you said, surprisingly easy.

    much appreciated, thanks!

I solo'd all of the DZ landamarks. A guy did go rogue on me when I was 24/25, at which point I shrugged it off and didn't cry about it.

Concealed pulse and you would have known about them.

Then it's up to you to decide whether you want to take a chance or not.

Thereafter it's nobody's fault but your own if you get bodied.

Situational awareness will keep you out of trouble 95% of the time, unless you're looking for it, which is fun in itself but a topic for another discussion entirely.

I have two PvP builds, a Striker 4.1k/9k, and a Pred 4K/9.1k, but when doing the Shields requirements in the DZ, I use 7k/6.1k Striker PvE build. The PvP builds are just too slow to clear landmarks. As I stated earlier, watch the map, eyes and ears open, haul azz to the LM, get it done and haul azz back to a checkpoint. Rinse and repeat.

Btw, if I see other players, I usually don’t, I’ll just run by them. If they go rogue and kill me, so be it. I make the CP faster. Then on to another area...

I was halfway through the landmark when they arrived. They wasn't there when I started, conceal pulse wouldn't have helped. Feel free to think it would, if you like being wrong.
