I use Striker in PVE and its OP

I run 97.8% PVE and have run stikers since it came out, I ran all the other sets right away thinking I would chose a few to play from, except maybe incursion there is no reason at all to play anything but striker in PVE.

I wanted to run LoneStar but vs strikers with the LMG stiker beats it easy, I was thinking of a shield build but I can face tank everything but legendary.

I know this may sound odd since I run stikers but I cant help it cause its that good, hard to have to step down to something else.

maybe if you would have left it like it was in set 4 but in set 6 just added the health part it would have been closer to other sets.

Sorry to anyone that thinks I'm taking a crap on strikers and yes I know I could use something else, yet I run anywhere from 3 to 8 legendry's a day and in a team of random people which is what I play I want to help team as much as I can so its hard to feel like a downgrade is a option.

By the way I am just a average player so I find legendry's with random people hard, so instead of nerfing strikers could you buff other sets? Those ones like sentry and deadeye could use a tid bit of help.

Sentry and Hunters Faith, combined with a Reclaimer makes all Legendaries a cakewalk. Your 4th squad member can run a purple build with those 3 in your team.

So not in all cases, but indeed in 90% of all situations, Striker is the way to go indeed.

I run just random people, I don't like asking anyone to run some certain thing, now if I had some kind of team I would love to try deadeye, I tried it with random people and felt I wasn't doing enough for the team.

thing about the strikers for me in PVE is that health you get, it make a big difference over a set like LoneStar for me even using a LMG and that just doesn't seem to make sense.

I'm not sure it's OP... I run it with 7000 Firearms and 6000 Stamina - the healing saves me sometimes, but honestly if I'm not careful I get chewed up on Heroic/Legendary, even with a full stack. Likewise even with a full stack you still have to deal stupid amounts of damage to enemies - just not as much. I think gun synergy is important too. If you're using a shotgun you basically NEED striker because of the fact ARs and SMGs get some crazy boosts to damage via armor destruction and crit. whereas shotguns only stagger - and while useful, they aren't always dealing the most damage. I like them for the stack building of course. When using my AR or SMG, I have to build up the stack slower - so either way it roughly balances out.

I think Striker sits in good spot PVE. I wouldn't want to see it nerfed or buffed. I don't generally like spending a long time dealing with bullet sponges, I like smart AI enemies more. (Though not like the awful legendary roll, roll, 1 hit melee, roll, roll guys.) so any sets that help me deal with that are good to me.

I think alot of people like meta, they don't realize alot of other great sets out there and rather than diversifying they all just pass around the same "use striker" bit.

Tactician's authority will drop standard WT5 enemies in one hit, barring only the big fat heavy LMG guys. DFNC is actually really good too if you use your SMGs. It's alot more survivable than Striker if you build that shield up and have 6 piece bonus. Striker seems to fall between dps and survivability and finds a place to exist between. It's not the best at both, it's just versatile.

I might be a bit insane but Final Measure is one of my favourites with how often I seem to get relentlessly spammed with grenades. It diffuses so damn often and the proc.s are quite decent and you really don't have to consider your weapons much in the build at all, alot more freedom there.

Nomad is a great solo survivability build. Not really good in teams now, but still good.

Firecrest + MDR + Flame Turret is also an incredibly high potential build for Status and DPS if in capable hands.

Youre kidding right! Why would you play the only broken set in the game for pve???? I mean you really just like cakewalking the content?

Personally find playing anything other than striker in pve a godsend. I like the challenge though. Though I accept its not for everyone.

Every set has its strongpoints and weakness which makes playing them fun. Unlike the striker which is just a blunt instrument to pound the content into submission..... and then the dev team have the cheek to say they were surprise at how fast players went through content!!!? wtf! lol

You mean a build that allows you to gain strength of your gunshots and also heals you is OP? Zoinks this stuns me?!?!

Don't get me wrong I was using this class well before it became OP but you've shocked me!

I have 4 agents, 2 are 291, 1 is 288 running a GS piece until I find the missing one in CS, though RNG has a sense of irony as I keep getting it in GS pieces in droves, probable 12 times now.

I run one with CS Nomad as my DZ set but it is really good in PVE using scan with CHC modules. But if I am doing a daily that requires skill kills or kills from NPC's you find in the LZ, I will swap electronic modules in and run a sticky bomb and seeker mines.

1 runs Striker and it is very good in PVE, my PVP skills are not good enough to avoid getting hit enough so for me it does not work Vs rogues in the DZ but on all else, great.

1 is running a Nomad skill build with 4 pieces CS, an annoying GS knee pad and the gold inventive back pack on a skill build with sticky and seeker. Skill power is 390 K and it is so much fun to launch it and take NPC's out.

My last agent runs in the 182 - 203 DZ and has a 3 piece Sentry Call / Striker build which I can run as is or skill build swapping a couple of skill oriented armour pieces and 5 electronic modules, this can be run in the DZ or LZ PVE, especially as there is practically no other egents / Rogues in this levle DZ.

I have other CS sets such as a full Dead Eye sniper build, Tactician Authority skill build, Firecrest skill build, Alpha Bridge tank build, Banshee DZ build so it is easy to mix and match sets and play a lot of different styles and get a different experience from playing all of the sets.

Another alternative is to limit your weapon choice and run the LZ using only a sniper rifle or SVD / Urban MDR, a shotgun, Showstopper , SASG, or M70 and also just a handgun using an M9, a Golden Rhino or the sawn off shotgun. Change makes it fun.

I have my favourites certainly but think to play in different sets, different styles, make the game more variable and interesting.
