    Extended video from E3

    Hi Guys!

This is a 25 min. video , all gameplay ! from hideout to the death (yes we can see once the fail action)

    my opinion about:

    - hollywoodish elements ( to much explosions, dust , fantasy rockets)
    - to fast ships
    - actions happen to fast ( boarding , picking loot, ship sunk)
    - repair during battle ( to fast, to much.) can repair to 100% again
    - repeat over and over again ... (will boring fast)

I'm curious what you mean by "too fast ships." The fastest I've seen a ship traveling in the gameplay demos, notwithstanding the special ramming ability of the Black Horn Brigantine, was just under 12 knots. For a ship with the size and sail plan of the brigantines presented in-game, that would be a pretty reasonable estimation of realistic hull speed.

Ships being too fast is something that has been brought up by people before, I can't remember who it was that replied, perhaps Velodrome, but basically the discussion was that if the ships moved at a realistic pace the gameplay would be too slow.

On top of all that ships do move pretty fast with the wind behind them, we have to understand that the Developers aren't trying to create a true-to-reality simulation here but instead make choices, regarding ship speed, that keep the flow of the gameplay experience going.

Back in the Age of Sail a "high speed chase" could literally take days, even weeks, before one ship caught up with the other.
