We have no idea what that means so we can't say anything is fixed. We haven't even seen the actual game yet.

TD2 trailers say flat out "the best loot in the game".
If they want to avoid a dumpster fire, they will avoid recreating the early days of Division 1 into Division 2. So, I'm still holding on to the belief that best will not equal exclusive that's better than the loot found in any other place in the game. Why would they throw the Raid under the bus like that? It wouldn't make sense.

I have not seen that..... if thats true then I expect more ppl will be voicing their opinions on this. Its a negative to purchase for me. No true option if you dont want to put up with the hassle of pkers, gankers and ofc the who shebang with cheats and the lack of effective treatment by the dev team.

That "Light Zone" thread was no doubt important and impactful. I'm positive it had an effect on TD2.
I'm just not ready to jump to the "fixed" conclusion

If we get a decent LZ then I don't care for a PvE DZ.
The reason I liked the idea of a PvE DZ is because the developers would do nothing to improve the LZ.

So let's not call anything "fixed" just yet.

If it comes down to needing stuff from the DZ to do the hardest content in the LZ,then it's still going to be a mess.
Can see it maybe being "needing stuff in an 8-player raid to be competitive in PvP".

I'm not expecting much from the LZ in TD2. I think they will prioritize co-op play in the DZ and Raids for the best loot in the game. We'll be in the same 'risk vs reward' arguments as last time.

LZ will be 'normal mode' again.

Nah, to claim the entire map as PvE zone is ridiculous. Especially if a part of that map is designed for PvEvP.

Just make the PvE part interesting in the open world, this time around.

That aside if the were to make it an exclusively pvp zone or keep it pvevp but have the same rewards as those in the lz would be ppl still want access to the map?

Cause at the end of the day what I found was that the dz landmarks is no more special than the the hvts in terms of the content. Its the threat from the other players that made it an area that I was intrigued to play in. Despite my pvp noobness.

Ergo it just became another piece of real-estate after the first few dozen runs.
I'm not going to claim that the DZ landmarks were any 'better' than actual HVTs for gameplay. However, they were more tedious to acquire and far less fluid that running landmarks in the DZ.
Landmarks also felt more natural, whereas HVTs were mostly just waves of NPCs. spawning from the same spot.

Plus you had to initiate HVTs.

You could just walk to a landmark, and if it "wasn't up", you could walk to another one that was. With HVTs, you had to complete one, go back to the BoO, initiate another one, fast travel to the closest mission or safehouse, run towards the HVT location, complete it, rinse and repeat.

I didnt like the way HVTs were implemented. Having them "appear" after you collected x amount of intel, and hover at a given location for a time limit, would have been a better way to go for me. More organic. Thats what I want to see in TD2 pve area.

Also having a mix of combat types; like we do in the current dz (some lmarks have waves) for harder hvts would be a better thing in my opinion. Just some ideas.

I don't like that I have to BUY HVTs and if a wave of NPCs push me a little too much in one direction,I fail the mission even though I have to complete it to get out alive.

Then the 168 hour respawn timer compared to a landmark's 4 minutes.
