Just one more guy complaining about day/night mechanic :)

Let me go to sleep!!! Im so tired!! The only time I want to play at night is if I'm assaulting a base, otherwise I'm reduced to running in circles to force the night to go by so I can continue exploring in the beautiful sunlight.

To each his/her own, but I love day/night cycles and I'm equally comfortable in both settings. Ubisoft needs to start making many more custom options in the game and less forced play, in order to appease all of us and our play styles. We are worse than finicky cats and that's fine, because we are paying with our money and expect results to our liking.

They already did that - it's called Far Cry 2, which is the best FPS game, no HUD, pick the time of day ya want to operate in and real weather (wind, rain and storms) UBISOFT ever made.

It appears for all unfathomable reasons they have chosen to abandon games with these features. Crying shame IMHO as I prefer these choices to the "forced" games of FC 3, 4 & 5, YMMV

Environmental effects in previous versions, why not now?

I just posted the thread about shooting up trees but was thinking of this as well, we like options. It was very well done in Farcry 2 as to the sleeping. I don't think it'd mess with the storyline or anything, you can't expect one person to take out a whole cult in a couple days without sleep. Also I am disappointed that there is no weather. Even the wind is weird... wind socks are at various places in the game, and are always the same speed. I never paid attention to their direction but suspect its the same as bullets are not affected by it. I can understand no wind as that makes things complicated for ballistics in a computer game but not even more or less clouds? Rain and storms would be a excellent addition to an already good series.
