    Still No News

Totally expected at least some news or hints on the upcoming update through the new challenges. Yeah no, old challenges and complete silence. Straight up damaged, slimey, moldy, smelly, fecal covered, bug infested trash of a choice.

    *Angrily shakes fist.

Is there any news as well as chance you can end these new challenges early (like right meow).

Every update happens every 3 months, so you have to wait.

Flaming is not the way to go.

The problem is, we don't believe that we will get information as soon as possible. We know that the theme and most of the content, if not all of it, is already complete, but they are waiting to have some huge reveal trailer, just like they had before the predator and Sam Fisher missions. So instead of just letting us know, what to expect and when, they need to make a big production of giving us new content.

We get it for free. The big publicity splash is to attract new players who will buy the game itself.

As much as I would like to know more, the realities of games marketing and media attention spans and the commercial realities of publicity momentum will win out here. That's just the way it is and we should view it on a longer term basis. A healthy franchise and larger community benefits us all.

new development has been dead for this game since they went to a 3 month schedule. Changes won't save it at this point. Especially funny once they got rid of the player count on ghost war to switch over to saying high medium or low activity lmao

There is nothing preventing them from keeping the existing playerbase in the loop, AND putting out those trailers to attract new players. And we're not asking for every detail from the update, but it would be nice if they would narrow some stuff down, like being released mid to late July. And they have said that they will be adding new icons, and at another time, it was said that they will be adding new customization options to the loot crates. I just want some verification that the icons, and the customization options, are not one in the same. Those types of assurances would not ruin any surprises.

And I personally don't care about media attention spans, because if something looks like it's worthy of my attention, it doesn't matter if I have to wait one week, or one year, as I will still be interested once it's released.

You'll still be interested for sure, as will most of the really keen fans here, me included. We aren't the target audience for these promo events, though, and for them to be successful the timing of the publicity is crucial. I understand and accept that, because the alternative is a niche game without the big budget production.
