Yeah, but the problem is that is ONLY connected to Origins. And we've since found out Origins and Odyssey were being worked on at the same time. It is NOT connected to any of the previous games. It was made patently clear in the previous games that the Animus was not intended to be a time travel device. It was made clear in interviews with the developers that the Animus is not intended to be a time travel device.

Now they want to include mainstream RPG elements like choice, so, gasp, magically it's a time travel device because Layla's Animus is "special" and can "Break the code".

Not to mention this whole "the wave corrects itself" completely negates Desmond's sacrifice.

Ubisoft does not care about the lore anymore and to be honest, they had better never put out another Encyclopedia after this debacle. Because the people who craft those do care about the lore and they make them for the fans who care about the lore. Trying to cash in after you have spit in the face of lore fans with another Encyclopedia would be the ultimate insult.

The eternal hope, huh? It's not dead in me yet. It's getting close, but it's not completely gone. I've caught a lot of heat from friends over the years for keeping my faith in Ubisoft when they lost theirs. And I've given a lot of leeway and tried to have an open mind. But they're twisting the series in a way now that I'm just not sure I'm going to be able to keep faith in.

You are an aggressive ninja boy. I believe Ubisoft will fill up your karate needs in the next ac game because if Ubisoft goes further back in history, they may go to Ionia or /Yunan/China knwon today, in the age of Dionysus campaign.

In this game Ubisoft gives you how the formation of the creed happend, the reasons behind it. Everything begins from a zero point is it? Now if you are not interested about the story of assassins creed and you are interested about NINJAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA wait for the next installment.

But again I am not sure what will be the next one, India? or Yunan/Ionia/China. The clear reason is, before 5th century, we have the campaign of Dionysus (Great Alexander campaign is not the only one) and both campaigns did happen for a reason, punishing reason -because of the genocide of the Ionians/Yunan. But we also have the big war of India (Apollo is also included in this story) Hindu scripts speak about a Hindu war with the forces of the moon, Hindu also requested help from Apollo... it was then when the moon got destroyed. But also before hindy and Yunan it was also Troy... So we have 3 candidates. But again Troy and Hindu wars could be done with historical references, moving further back in history is even harder.. We know the reasons why things happened but we dont have saved historical facts and key points.

After atlantis the sons and daughters of the snake "transferred" in the known today America and they resided there for a couple of thousand of years along with some of the corrupted atlantians. They overpopulated there and they built up boats in order to invade IONIA/Yunan.. today china.

The Dionysus campaign is very interesting, he went much further deep in Asia, this is the reason for the built of Great wall, but not many information’s are saved today, there are referrals even for strange beings and stuff.. Great Alexander himself have had Dionysus campaign as his goal, his personal bet, his god.

The last game, Russia, was released on February 9, 2016.So, China, India and Russia have already been covered by the franchise. The Persian Empire and earlier Mesopotamian civilizations like Sumerian, Assyrian and Akkadian empires would be interesting too.However, the Roman Empire and the Alexandrian Greek Macedonian Empire are more fascinating to me. Especially the ancient Greek world extended MUCH more than any other empire of antiquity. Even ancient Chinese dynasties did not stretch as much as the Greek colonies, which flourished, all the way from Spain to India.

Now we speak about history, but Assassin Creed is a historical game.

Sumerians for me is not interesting much and I do not think that Ubisoft will be allowed by the "system" to publish any Sumerian content game, I remember a movie about Sumerians and it was canceled violently. Because Sumerians are used as a mystery super civilizations misinformation and some known tribes today try to use that identity (Confusing? No.. Its like some today foreign nations today try to be ancient Macedonians).

We have books and references from ancient anthropologist/philosopher Evimerous (for a reason the english literature does not like Evimerous, you will not find him) but we do have Hellenic books about Evimerous and his work. He travel into Sumerians and he lived with them, his books say that ancient Sumerians are Cretans, they colonized that area and they created their own think. It has something to do with the corruption of the snake, they believed in Kronos/Saturn, something that was prohibited in Hellas.
This is the reason why I do not find any interest for Sumerians. Many think that they are super mistery ancient, more ancient, the ancients of the ancients civilizations and T H A T I S A L I E. I would love to see Troy, the reason is, if Ubisoft investigates the history, HECUBA queen of Troy she was another witch of the moon.. Corrupted by the snake! This is the true reason of the conflicts! And since the game takes RPG direction, be able to chose our sides!! With Hellas or with Troy!

Troy is much more ancient than 500bc.. And also something people DO NOT KNOW.. The symbol of the moon with a star like the turkish flag, is actually the symbol of HECUBA (Εκάβη)

Asyrians are very interesting too.
