I just removed the game from my pc after 125 hours of play. I just can;t take it any more with those mercenaries join a boss fight and there is NO end to them. Also the civilian areas you have to fight in! You kill so many of them because they start to fight you while you did not even HIT them, but the enemy did!! The LEGENDARY stuff is way to weak, only if you have a set you can benefit a bit. I have been so many times stuck on a little piece of rock, also when in a fight, that I just almost smashed my keyboard in bits. The only thing okay on this game is the looks, but the rest is just horrible.

I have loved the games from the very beginning, but origins and odyssey both have a bug where you loose all your health except one bar.

There was no bug in Origins that could leave you with only one bar of health. What are you talking about? Did you choose a cursed weapon? That's the only case your health was limited in Origins. I spent 200 hours and the game was a blast!

Legendary gear is not the way to go. Epic gear makes you stronger. Also, why not kill the sponsor to avoid mercenaries who hunt you down? Or pay off the bounty that's on your head? There are so many tricks to make life easier in this game. You just need to find out those tricks....

I even got a bounty mid boss fight and before I even had the chance to pay it off, the mercenary was already in the cave with me and the BOSS!! Oh and the mercenary was throwing fire bombs all over the place. On the forced bounty got me against 2 mercenaries and a boss, which all got fire or poison bombs/arrows. Makes me instead of having a good fight only run and hide. The mercenaries are coming to your location like they are the Flash, even if you fast travel they are just already there right on the spot you want to finish a quest or on the spot you need to go for a quest. I just discovered a fort/camp, got detected and a bounty on me while fighting off the enemies and like Flash the mercenary comes running in and starts to fight along.

At some point, it was a BIG fort, I ended up getting a 3 bounty on the head and guess what.... 3 mercenaries came to pay a visit. All seem to have unlimited adrenaline and only seem to do special attacks! Well, next AC is not for me any more. After the Desmond series they just do not know what to do with the games any more. Origins gave me hope for going back to the old AC kind of games, but this current AC shows me I was hoping to much.

Wow! Did you play on Nightmare mode or something? This is not on Easy mode, right?

I concur with the sentiment above. I was playing on Easy mode, and was constantly being ambushed by Mercenaries - even at earlier stage of the game!

I pay them off mid-battle like in a fort battling after discovery for instance. Once paid they don't fight you unless you engage them in battle, they simply go away.
I am not that good of a gamer so I use every trick in the book to avoid battle. Yes it costs money, sometimes lots of it if all of a sudden 3 are unleashed. No need to throw anything around.

lets be real here no one is happy but the new fans. It is extremely painful to watch AC self destruct.

Lets give some more ways to fix it rather then just say why its bad. For one lets start more threads like "Looking into the future tips for ubisoft". I suggest you go onto the thread and give comments and do the same with a proposed fix that you may gain.

There are loads of fans, Star Players, Mentor Guild members and other long-time fans and members of this forum alone that prove you wrong.

I am just on Normal. But this game is just not NORMAL, it got me so angry and also bored at the same time it was better to quit now. I will follow the bug fixes and see if I will go back to finish the game (was over 80% completion). For now I enjoy more the first AC. Tomb Raider had better thoughts over arrow crafting, enemy levelling and progressing through the game. Maybe Ubi can learn something from that game.

So, why didn't you try to play on Easy mode to see if things were noticeably better? I know I am gonna play on Easy mode only. I want to explore ancient Greece, after all, not play Dark Souls or something....
