No I definitely don’t think so. They won’t be making that mistake that Anthem is about to make lol

Likely. Moreso than Division 1. Incursions are the only thing in Division 1 where one really, really can't do very well solo.

If they're making Raids and such that are mandatory 8 people to get them going, that's different.

My guess it so be similar to
    TD1.

Focus is on co-op, but most content will be playable solo.

I never played the first game, so I know next to nothing about it.

It's on 80% discount at the moment, and a great game.

In the first game, you can group with people for the PvE stuff. It would scale (mostly) with the amount of people in the group. One person will tend to get less enemies on the missions and such, compared to four. I play with my wife, mostly, which means 2 person grouping, but I've also done a lot of the content solo, just fine.

There are 4 'Incursions', which are like really long, really intense missions. Those often have specific things that needed to be done whilst fighting off waves of enemies, so they are pretty darned close to impossible to complete solo.

Running Solo in the Dark Zone - the PvEvP area - is certainly possible, but it's also perfectly possible to then get mobbed by a four-person gank squad who really doesn't care that you're a solo (and possibly are more happy to find an easy target).

As long as the single player is robust that is my main concern. I am not much of an online player, and I don't see that changing any time soon. The only game that was ever the exception for me was Burnout Paradise.

Given the current price of 'The Division', you'd be getting good value for your money, I think.
