I read a few reviews before I played the game saying that the story line was...meh. And the ending (s) were the worst. Having my doubts I bought the game anyway and I am so glad I did. I both loved the story line, sorry Faith, and was very impressed with the endings. Good job.😁
It's all just a matter of perspective. I'm one of those that hated the ending(s) as well as many other aspects of this game. .....I'm not going to dissect why people like what I don't though (or vice versa). It is what it is.Originally Posted by AngeredMold5977 Go to original post
I rarely find reviews align with my own opinion of a game though. That's why I usually rely on in-game footage and details about the game rather than someone's opinion.
I'm glad you found your own way and value in your purchase.
Ya don't actually have to play through the crappy endings - where IMHO there is no GOOD or BAD ending - as 2 sorry choices are no choices in my old opinionated mind.
I'm on my 5th play-through and I'll do as I have done in the past - beat John, Jason and Faith and when it comes time to meet at the church I don't. Just simply BEGIN A NEW GAME.
Agree with both the opinion, and the solution. Why waste your time enduring the ending(s) ?Originally Posted by mr_wilson1954 Go to original post
In my case, I endured 1 ending and relied on YouTube to view the others as I was not going to waste my time even trying to replay the campaign again. ....and since the end-game world was essentially dead, Arcade wasn't anything close to what I expected and Outpost Master was "meh", I uninstalled the game at that point.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
Do understand ... I'm attempting to get the most out of my $60, and with a mod now available that drastically impacts the RP meter while free-roaming, can get more out of simply interacting with the game-world. In FC games I actually spend more time in free-roam mode versus plowing thru the missions, so the recently created mod helps greatly.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
With the current Ubisoft sale most likely will now acquire GRW and have a go at it as a solo TPS, even though I prefer the FPS view for immersion. At least the outfit selection will serve some purpose ...
I get it and I'm glad you found ways to find more value in the game than I have.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
Unfortunately, there are no mod solutions on console so it's a matter of avoiding certain situations, engagements, regions, etc. to keep the meter in check. .....not what I consider fun so I simply gave up. I'll see what they may possibly do in the future if anything.
Nary a word about the future of FC5 / Arcade at E3 but I'm not surprised. Hell, all of those other customers of theirs who paid for their extra content (but can't use it) can't even get a hotfix and will instead have to wait until the next TU instead. After this experience, I'm really disappointed in the franchise and this particular studio to be honest.
Don't get me wrong here, "IF" one had the opportunity to KILL Joseph Seed, then I "might" be willing to blow up Hope County (A-bomb wise) just to get the chance to riddle the Father with bullets, although more likely I'd use the Spa 12 with Incendiary rounds and cook the Ba$trd.......(I just love the way the smart mouthed peggies scream when I do that.......) : )Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
BUT, as it appears he cannot die in the one scenario UBI refers to as the GOOD ending - seems a waste to nuke the county with no UP side.
ps - added, my one consolation to the brainwashing Jason does to the Deputy I "ALWAYS" employ is the last test (where one begins w/ only 15 seconds) I generally make it to the end, find Eli and have 26-32 seconds left on the clock. Instead of shooting him, I wait, telling myself that no GOOD person would fall prey to the lame attempt at mind control that UBI has Jason use - and I only drop the hammer on Eli in the last 2 seconds.
And yes more that once now I have refused to shoot him as he never shoots the Deputy either - of-course ya have to do the whole thing over again which after ya mastered it ain't really such a big deal.
