And now they start showing the past and origin of templars and the brotherhood of assassins and maybe the first creation of the hidden blade? For me its a big mess completely mixed up without a specific goal. It feels more like we want to make more AC games as long as we can and work around the return of juno in modern day.

I hope you are right but I ultimately gave up on the modern day section and just start enjoying those games as what they really are right now. Graphical triple A but story wise many times just boring with bad story telling..
I don't really believe this will even be an AC game. It definitely seems to be something else, and they just wanted to capitalise on the AC name.

I think these screenshots are a bit underwhelming. Doesn't seem too far off of what Origins looks like, but I shouldn't be surprised. I wasn't really expecting much more, only hoping.

This confirmed it, Odyssey has nothing to do with AC. It's nothing more than Ubisoft milking the AC name for all it's worth. It's really sad to say this, but I think I'll pass.

Lmao what did I just watch. Was that meant to be AC?

At this point I'm more hyped for the For Honor update (though I was hoping for Middle Eastern faction).

I agree. I think this was absolutely ridiculous, and just a literally shameless attempt to milk the name of the series. I have no more words to classify this travesty, honestly. Thank God we have The Last of Us, just in a few hours.

Definitely what's bothering me the most is that I can't understand their logic. Surely they would pull this move once AC meets a lull in popularity again (i.e. drastic changes only when things are going badly). Origin's was very well received because apart from the story, it was a clear constructive response to fan feedback in so many ways. If they were just going to jump back to 'annualisation mode' so quickly, why even bother with that two year break.

We know they're not very logical or reasonable, otherwise we wouldn't have had so many problems with passed games, like Unity or Syndicate. It makes no sense, except to their wallets, perhaps.

Looks like a great Spartan game but a terrible AC game.

Oh man I can't wait for TLOU2! Unfortunately I'll be asleep during the conference, so I'll have to check it out tomorrow.
