And to add some more sugar on top of it all, Anthem will not launch with PvP.![]()
Impressive?
I must have watched the wrong feed.
The first footage was a rehash of previously seen footage.
The second gameplay clip was a linear shoot-em-up that looked like a level of Crysis reskinned. Certainly nothing special nor impressive.
Pity for Solo players.
Now Battlefield V, now that’s another story entirely.
It might come later, just like wildlands.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
I'm pretty sure it will. There is always a demographic of players that want to PvP.
Bioware has always developed a story-driven campaign in their games. I think the PvE will be a solid experience.
Mass Effect Andromeda doesn't count though.
Yeah I don’t know why they did not do more with it. Certainly does not bode well if that’s the best they’ve got atm. Heck, they were more excited about the Yarn twins lolOriginally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
For me I saw the MMO light pattern/mechanics I've become familiar from the Division, Destiny 2 and Warframe, and that's why it didn't wow me; it looked like more of the same.
New world, new visual, new story and all that stuff, but it ticks the same box in my mind; it didn't look like it really evolve the genre in any way.
True. I am not denying that. At the same time, this competition might force the other developers in the industry to evolve the looter shooter genre. One can hope right.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
I hope so, the MMO light/ Looter games have a lot of potential.Originally Posted by Demiz3r Go to original post
A few things I did like about Anthem was that there is no PvP, no Lootboxes, and in some places it look awesome like the glowing underwater plants.
