    Have I Broken My Map?

    Hello,
I was wondering if someone could please help? A forward apology for the wall of text.

I think my course of actions detailed below may mean that my updated map will never be played, does anyone have any suggestions?
I created a Team Deathmatch map and published it over a week ago. The map was originally called Villa but after finding other maps named the same I renamed it The Party’s Over.

On checking I realised it had duplicated the map 1 x Villa and 1 x The Party’s Over both had instantly been played with Villa at 4 stars and the TPO at 3 and a half. I went to remove Villa but it would not delete even after being removed from my editor.
I was lucky enough to actually get to play the original Villa map in Hero mode on its very first play and noticed some errors when using the hole tool for the villa swimming pool which had not been visible in editor mode.

I made the changes and updated the tag to something more appropriate, the map duplicated again both called The Party’s Over but with different tags.
I now have three maps up, I try to remove the older The Party’s Over and Villa again by requesting a delete. These two maps disappeared and I’m left with my desired map and it is this map which has now sat unplayed (with zero plays) for over a week.

I wonder if this is just a natural thing or has my course of actions meant that my map may never be seen?

I duplicated the map for an assault/zombies survival so at least I could play my own map. It was published as The Party’s Over (Z), this map is published and has plays.
I would be grateful for any ideas?
    Many thanks.

I had a similar problem when I updated my map on a different ps4.

I like the name party's over, it's simple and original.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the the name.

Did your map ever enter the rotation or is it still sat at zero plays like mine?

For a map to be published to the ALL category, a user must spend some time on it (this way the system sees that it's probably a quality map).
If you just make a quick map, without spending much time on it, then it will be published to the Workshop category.

If you use Save As command (to change a map name), it will be treated as a new map, and the spent time reset to zero.
This is done in order to make re-published maps less likely to surpass the original creator's map (for example, you download someone else's map and re-publish it with barely any changes; your re-published map will be placed in the Workshop category, so it won't really be noticed).

In your case, when you renamed the map and published it again, it probably got sent to the Workshop, and that is why nobody played it; the map won't appear in the normal rotation. In order for someone to play it, they'd have to find it in the Workshop, search for it by name or find it in the Arcade Hero mode.

Note that I've used "time" as a measurement, but it's actually "actions" that are taken into consideration (so you can't just cheese the system by leaving the editor on for a few hours).
Everything you do in the Editor is considered an action: adding objects, molding the terrain, changing loadouts etc.
You need about 500 actions for a map to not be published to the Workshop category.

    @cskiller86

Thank you for your help. I had a feeling that may be the case with regards to having to play it via the search or favourites options. I only have one friend who has the game so we can’t access it being MP.

The map has around 70+ hours of building (slow builder), making sure the lines of sight, choke points etc were all in place not to mention getting the actual map to look as good as I could. It even has working Jacuzzi, fire pit, swimming pool and a vivarium with snake.

I'll just have to be patient.
Thank you once again for your help.

I have added a couple of vids to YouTube which you can view here and added a couple of images for your perusal.
