Having different gear and scores is fine when you start the game, collecting loot for better ones. But when you reach the end game at level 30, each gear set just seems useless as they do not provide any advantages over another one. With dead-eye you cannot kill with single head shots, tacticians cannot kill with explosions or have tactical advantage, etc. This is all caused by the fact there is one build that outweighs all others in strength. Why bother having special talents if you get killed so quickly you don't even have the time to use them.

As for classified builds, they make all other content found in the game redundant, being high-end and exotic gear. Players that don't have 6pc classified or mix are simply no match for other players that use them. I started building high-end gear sets fully optimized and using exotics but they are useless just against classified sets, not to mention cheats. For playing PVE these sets are fun being able to use variations in gear, but for PVP they are not.

Besides this, I use 4 characters that all have 6pc classified builds and the only way to improve any of them is playing Global Events. No other part of the game provides the same manner of getting better gear for specific sets. You can kill some bosses and hope for a better piece, but this takes ages, if you are lucky enough to get one in the first place.

I think they should take care here what they do with the items.

Destiny 2 is the best example what happens when developer completely change a running system.

I love set items and I'm rly sad that they throw 6 piece sets out of the game.

Also the new item system looks *meh* somehow.....the 3 piece bonus is nothing special and somhow pointless.

In my opinion they should keep set bonuses & 6 piece bonuses.....but not as high end gear.

Means a well optimized build out of exotics, yellows and maybe 3-4 set bonus could be way better than a pure 6 piece set.

Means its nice to have 6 piece for mid-end tier to farm for high end tier...but the high end tier is everything but 6 piece set.

I am confident that they have learned a lot regarding this from the first game. And repeating myself, the devs said the new gear sets build upon what the brands offer. So expect smaller bonuses, (potentially) making every set viable. It's going to look like the Witcher 3 in that respect and that's a good thing!

    Maybe

    If they can:

·Make the 3+ DPS builds have roughly the same maximum damage output & ttk on a target of average health.
·Look at the edge case gear combinations and see if they are in a fair place when compared to the average ttk observed earlier.
·Make the set bonuses interesting and more reliant upon individual player skill
·Do not lock the strongest talents behind 6 pieces, as it heavily limits build options
·Do not convert 1 stat into another stat without a high skill based requirement.
These converters are clearly very hard to balance because they don't follow the game's previously established norms
    (Ex. Stam + 10 bullets= 120% DPS over time
    Electronics + Historian= Huge explosive damage/FA [1.6pts I believe]
Stam + 6 shotgun shells= Best Healing over time in-game)

If they can stay away from too many lazy conversion mechanics and make sets that require interesting passages of gameplay to build damage from then by all means,

    Go ahead.

    (Also @Liquid_Engineer,
I don't really know how the Wither 3 comes in as you can spec your mutagens for over 100% of any one stat *and* if it had PvP they would need to separate Geralt's Stamina Regen from his Sign Intensity as it effectively acts the way Electronics did before they separated Skill Haste from it.
Tl;dr He's too powerful as is)
