Well in the play video, the one guy did says "thanks medic". Makes a pretty good case for archetypes in game play.

No. They should have lumped off the stats and boosts, reduced them, and split them up in new exotic gear. This I believe would have led to build diversity.

I don't think that will happen. I like the idea, but TD1 should be still stay unique to TD2. Specialization is somewhat like classified gears, and probably after the release of TD2, they will introduce new specializations which will covers some of the iconic sets from TD1, like medic (reclaimer), tank (D3) and so on.

Definitely don't want gear sets in TD2. Hell from the looks of it, they got rid of healing skills. Which i think is a step in the right direction. No more running around circle jerking each other popping first aid for 20 damn minutes.

Gear Sets confirmed in new interview.

Will have the gear brands as showcased at E3 as well as Gear Sets so basically the same concept as high-end (brand) vs teal (gear) sets.

I wonder if there could be such a thing as different brands of the same gear set, and if so, what that might entail? Probably not, I'd guess...but, that was what my mind immediately jumped to when the topic came up.

Im pretty sure there will be. Marco style covered it well in one of his videos...... basically as there are 6 slots you will be able to compile brands up to 3 in number to get the max bonuses for each item you wear with another of the same brand. This in theory will give players the options to set up with 2-2-2, 3-2-1 or 3-3 3-1-1-1 (or combos) to get the bonuses they prefer.
