Having trouble seeing in night vision

I like to have low gamma and slightly below average brightness on my video settings because I think it makes the game look better. Also in my opinion I shouldn't be able to see easily at night without night vision goggles or a flashlight. With the default night vision I can see fine at night because it does make things brighter and easier to see. However with the Splinter Cell costume nigh vision all it seems to do is just change the Tint to black and white without making it easier to see. If anything it makes it harder to see at night. The same goes with the Panormaic NVG and Special NVG where it just changes the tint to green without making it easier to see at night. Does anyone else share this opinion with me?

All i can comment on is the NV from Splinter Cell, as the white and black tone comes from the first two Splinter Cell's, SAR and PT, so i hope stays that way, it is cool to see a little reference there two of the best games in the Splinter Cell franchise.

Appreciate the feedback on the different varieties of NVG. I've sent similar feedback to the team based on the appearance of regular NVG, but I haven't received an update on any possible changes.

I'm also curious about what other players make of the new types of night vision in terms of visibility. Feel free to share your thoughts!

Personally, I like the new NVG's. Maybe the panoramic and specials, could be a little less yellow, but the lack of distortion is nice. I just wish the panoramic goggles used the white phosphor tubes, because I prefer the look of them, over the sonar goggles.

Ayyyy... I remember when I played Splinter Cell Pandora's Tomorrow and turning on the NVG (I think it was called infra-red goggles back then) and turned the whole screen black and white with noise and my father who saw it asked me if the TV was broken.
