Balancing changes and Bug Fixes for 1.8.2

Here are the balancing changes and bug fixes that was stated on the SOTG. I was quite surprised. These changes are welcomed. One can hope there will be further tweaks to swift the meta. BUFF sentry, firecrest and tactican. Reduction to the auto-snap on aim via a cooldown after the first use is a nice feature for console players. Technically, it should work against CronusMax users. We shall see if it works. The official patch notes will go live next week.

    Balancing Changes
With Update 1.8.2 we will also get long-awaited balancing changes, that should address the issues that have been brought up by the community:

    Predator’s Mark

Predator’s Mark has become one of the more powerful sets in PVP, because it combines high damage output with high stamina. But with the new changes, the bleed can now be canceled out by an Immunization Station.

    Set Bonus (6 pieces):

Hitting 10 shots without switching targets now applies The Predator’s Mark which makes the target bleed for 50% of the damage already done by those bullets. The Damage over time to the target is increased by 15% for every 3000 Stamina and can critically hit the target. When at 9000 Stamina the damage over time bonus is increased by an additional 120%. The Predator's Mark ignores the Status Effect Immunity of NPCs.

    Path of the Nomad

Since it was introduced the Nomad was designed to be the ultimate solo set. With the new changes – this will also be the case in the classified version, because the 6-piece-bonus now only works when you are solo.

    Set Bonus (6 pieces):

50% chance to have no cool-down for Path of the Nomad when playing solo. Take 60% less damage for 10 seconds after Path of the Nomad is triggered.

    Other Changes / Bug Fixes

    Bug Fixes

Spawning issue in Last Stand (DZ 1, 2, 3) is fixed.

Opera House NPC spawn issue is fixed.

Phoenix Credits is up from 5000 to 8000

Support Stations with the highest health per tick will now take priority when in range of several stations

Reduction to the auto-snap on aim via a cooldown after the first use.

    Tactician’s Authority

    Set Bonus (6 pieces)

Improved Tactician’s Authority stacks will no longer reset when using elevators. Stacks will now correctly be lost upon activation of Recovery Link.

    Reclaimer

    Set Bonus (6 pieces)

Reclaimer support stations will now self-destruct when the set is unequipped.

    THIS IS HUGE!
Even though I just finished my 6 piece pred build, playing with it is really fun but super cheesy lol
The nomad nerf doesn't bother me because I really only use it to farm.
Striker shotgun nerf will be fun to see in the DZ

I love all the changes and appreciate the effort the dev team made, but I really think that not touching striker for now was a bad move.

It will be the most obvious choice now, and I already saw it being used over half the players I encountered.

Wow. Looks like I'll be leaving the group whenever Rogues are inbound.

I agree with your sentiment. I want the meta to shift. I would say that striker would be the top gear set.

I'm pretty stoked about auto-snap cooldown for the aim assist.

    I like these changes
Shows that there are people who can recognize their problems and who are willing and able to solve them.
Of course this might also lead to another different game experience. Lets see what the next fix will bring.
If they can accelerate this process, there is hope for Division 2

Thats a joke with not touching Striker.

Striker is easily the most powerful set and most used set in the game, therefore lets not touch it but make the other sets less viable. So basically now, everyone and their mom will be running striker with a immune station which turns Predator Mark into utter uselessness and on top of that lets kill groups from running nomad, we cant have them killing Strikers either. I have zero hope for the Division 2 at this point other than it will be pretty. Literally 90% of the people in the DZ will all be running Striker now. I guess when you have no clue as to how to have balance, one way to achieve it is to simply only have one viable set.

Not very happy with nerfs to Nomad and Pred.

What this actually means is that they are no longer a counter to Striker. So whereas 3 sets were viable in the DZ now only 1 is.

Would have preferred buffs to the Snipers to make them viable in PvP, and make Banshee useful in some way.
AlphaBridge is already a solo-only set, would have preferred the 6 piece bonus to be team-friendly, or at least team-neutral. Maybe 6th piece to use all talents on both guns. OP? No more than Striker.

Oh well they were doing so well but they had to tinker.

    I am a Striker user.

From a standing start i hit as hard as any other gear set in the game. But get this....

Every shot i land i hit every subsequent shot hard than the last. Awesome right? but wait.there is more...

Every shot i hit i get an inbuilt healing so i'm healing as i shoot.. I know can you believe it.not only can i put out more damage than any other set i heal too. Epic right? but wait there is more...

They nerfed Predators Mark so now i can stand in my station and not get a bleed on me from them and keep shooting while healing while they are screwed because the can't hit as hard as me and they can't heal like me. Their builds suck now. But wait there is more...

Nomads can't group up against me now. So no more nomad groups with multiple super's to kill me and my fellow striker players. So we can just shoot and hit them while healing.

I know right how awesome is this. This is my lucky day. I'm putting the lottery on i'm so lucky right now.

Yeah the above is all sarcastic. How can you take 3 sets and nerf 2 of them and leave the set that was already the clear op pvp set alone. Here comes the Alphabridge meta days all over again. Its clear Massive can't balance gearsets for pvp. And the striker fan boys have made clear that if your not using striker then you're a cheesy player that needs to use Predator or Nomad and they hate it. Thats why the DZ29 is getting a lot of focus right now.

So for Division 2 instead of letting us get use to certain gear sets for pvp then nerfing them into the ground. Follow the DZ29 brigade and remove gear sets from PVP.

All the 1.8.2 hype and E3 hype ruined with nerfs. I'm not saying nerfs should not have happened but really if your going to nerf the sets then nerf them all.
